It kind of makes you wonder why they are still keeping price a secret. They already ruled it out for their E3 Conference. The controller is my concern when it comes to price. Not sure how much more it adds to the manufacturing cost.

I don't think they can go in worrying about PS360 prices. There might be price cuts on those before the Wii U hits retail anyways. I'm leaning toward Soapy and the $350 price tag.

If it's 350.. My Vita might get some use.

When I trade it in... for a WiiU! Heyooooo!

Haha. I have a feeling Sony better go all out with their Vita/E3 announcements or a lot of people will be doing the same thing.

Very pleased with what was shown today. Can't wait for software reveals at E3.

E3 2012: Wii U Comes in Black, Too

The Black looks really cool, but I kind of like that the Wii and WiiU come in all white. Kind of sets it apart a little bit for me. I can't get over how much I like that controller design. One way or another I'm getting this WiiU!!!

Ubisoft made me get much more interested in Wii U,Can't wait for tomorrow!!,Is it being released this year?

Sucks I'll be at work while the Nintendo conference is on... Again! Hopefully it's on the 3DS when I get home. Staying away from all things Nintendo related as I want it to be a surprise.

Watching Nintendo's E3 coverage now. They just announced New Super Mario Bros U. Gameplay looks pretty much like all the other recent New Super Mario Bros games, but the graphics are better.

They also announced a new edition of Arkham City for the WiiU and a new Scribblenauts. Really excited about the new Scribblenauts!

Wii U impressed me..A lot,Loving the black Wii U!!

So do we know if this system is going to be more powerful than the other 2? If so, i think ill be purchasing my first Nintendo console since the Gamecube.

I think all three conferences were crap outside of a few games here and there. I did like the videos of the games Nintendo showed today though.

Man...the more I see this thing the more i'm convinced it's a freaking joke. The stupid thing is gigantic. Why would I want to hold a tablet just to play a game? I don't want to keep looking at my controller either...

I agree.. Most of the games have been gold.. But the presentations get worse and worse every year. Ubisoft had a great conference and I was worried they were gonna break Facebook games to consoles..

You don't have to? Everything you need is on the TV outside of maps.. You can also use that Wii60 controller.

It's an HD Wii with a new way to play.

Here are some controller specs/news.

The battery life of the Wii U's GamePad controller has been fully detailed by Nintendo, with a single charge expected to last between three to five hours.
A charge takes two and a half hours, though it can be played when charging via an AC adaptor.

The full, official specs also confirmed that the GamePad weighs in at 500g and boasts a 6.2 inch LCD screen and stereo sound.
The battery life is dependent on the brightness of the screen.

Nintendo's blurb on the Wii U GamePad in full:

"The Wii U GamePad controller removes the traditional barriers between games, players and the TV by creating a second window into the video game world. It incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio LCD touch screen, as well as traditional button controls and two analog sticks.
"Inputs include a +Control Pad, L/R sticks, L/R stick buttons, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons, ZL/ZR buttons, Power button, HOME button, -/SELECT button, +/START button, and TV CONTROL button.

"The GamePad also includes motion control (powered by an accelerometer, gyroscope and geomagnetic sensor), a front-facing camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, rumble features, a sensor bar, an included stylus and support for Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality.
"It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and weighs approximately 1.1 pounds (500 g)."

Not every game. The one thing that stood out to me was that ZombieU looks to rely on you using the Gamepad and not the traditional controller. Not all games will be like that I'm sure, but that's a game made to appeal to Core crowd and it makes you use it.

Either way I'm cool with it. I wish I could preorder today.

Still no release date for the console eh?Will it at least be this year?

Yeah. I'm wondering about that. You'd think if it was truly released this year that the showing at E3 would've been much better than it actually was.
