I loved pilot wings 64, you guys remember that? Love to see something new

Nintendo is sitting on a goldmine of classic 1st Party titles they could revisit.

Yep. Companies like Capcom and Sega have an embarrassment of riches in cool old IP that they never do anything with. Nintendo does the best job I think of keeping their old properties alive.

They put out a new Pilotwings a year or two ago.

I am going to have to get a Wii U. Why you might ask? Well, Capcom jusst announced that they are releasing to the West Monster Hunter Tri G, but with more content for the Western audiences. It will be called Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. There will be a 3DS version of the game but it won't be online capable. Only the Wii U version will, hence why I need to get a Wii U. The good thing about the handheld is that you can transfer all your character data to the Wii U and continue playing your saved game on that version. I am happy happy happy about this news!!! :D

SOME of their old properties. And by some, I mean 5 (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Metroid). Star Fox has only gotten a 3DS port since 2006. It took 11 years for Donkey Kong to get a real game again. Kid Icarus was non-existent for 20 years. Pikmin missed out entirely on the Wii (where it would have been great with the controls). F-Zero basically doesn't exist anymore.

It's a shame because it could definitely be a big hit again. :csad:

Anyway, I just preordered my WiiU today!!! :woot:

F-Zero, what's that. :o I kid, I kid. I wouldn't mind a return in some form on the WiiU, and I don't mean Captain Falcon becoming an unlockable character in Mario Kart.

I probably won't be picking this up until spring time.

F-Zero is just a wasted opportunity. That comeback they did on Gamecube was excellent, and even in Japan where you could play at home or the arcade and transfer your character between the two, online and off.

I think with Nintendo Land, they're trying to get people into some other franchises that otherwise aren't known outside of the Nintendo crowd. Pikmin is a prime example of why the game was pushed back.

I also forgot Fire Emblem which always gets the shaft outside of Japan. Not all of the games have been released in North America or Europe. They also have very limited print runs, so if you don't get it when it comes out, you're forced to pay ridiculous prices for it on the second-hand market. The GC and Wii games can go for up to $100.

I love the Fire Emblem series. I wish it had a bigger following.

Got my preorder in last night from Best Buy...which was good as they are out as of today....So is Gamestop. Repeat of the Wii? We'll see.

In other news my Wii died today. I wasn't finished with Xenoblade yet. :(

You can sell back your Wii and Get some money off for the Wii U as they said. and sorry to hear it died on you like that.

I fully expect this to be Wii 1 Holiday all over again. People were in GameStop today being all upset that they couldn't preorder the deluxe.

I preordered the White WiiU at a Best Buy near me (store pickup) yesterday. Probably would have gotten the Deluxe if I knew it was going to be selling out fast.

I grabbed the deluxe since the extra fifty you spend is well worth it. It has the extra stands, a game, plus 10% of future downloadable software from their eshop for like two years.

Plus black is the best color. :p

I also preordered NSMBU. Whee!

I don't think I've been this excited for a Nintendo system since Christmas '88.

I'm glad I got my pre-order 10 minutes after Gamestop.com put it up for pre-order. I knew the deluxe would go quick. I mean it is a hell of a deal. A one (two?) year subscription to their online thing, charge stand, console stand, bigger hard drive, and Nintendo Land all for 50 bucks more...it is a hell of a deal.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's the best you're gonna get.

Black = fingerprint magnet.

The stand and other accessories are just stuff I don't need that will only take up space. Nintendoland will be like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, fun games but little reason to play them on your own. My friends have pretty much stopped playing video games. The discount on the eShop sounds nice, but you can guarantee it's going to be only on select titles and they'll be very slow with getting those out.
