Actually Fantastic Four made over $330 million and with Batman Begins and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, ended the downing streak of 2005 in movie theaters.

Elektra and Daredevil aren't getting sequels under 20th Century Fox. They exhausted it too quickly and we're just going to simply have to wait until Marvel gets the rights back in order to at least get Daredevil 2.

By getting irate,ppl are just gonna provke u more. Im not much of an Elektra fan,more of a fan of jennifer garner. The film blew chunks royally,they had some cool villans,but chose not to do them any justice. The story was very very weak,and action was well, not that good overall.
I hope not and don't think there will be a sequel at all,haven't heard any rumors about it all. Then again ppl sayin theres another saw movie coming outand haven't heard any rumors on that neither..
I'd rather them have a sequel(or just remade) DD movie. Elektra had potential,but potential is nothing when u have bad acting,story,director,and the usual studio executives trying to direct from their office chairs....

I highly doubt it, especially after some reports have said that Jennifer Garner didn't want to do the movie anyway but Fox made her do it.

I guess it's safe to say that Garner and Affleck hated being two of Marvel's best characters.

Jennifer garner is okay,but I dont think it would of mattered who they put in that movie as it sucked in all aspects..Forcing someone to do a role,you won't get their best effort. Fox should of found a better writer than worrying bout Garner doin the role..
Anywho don't forsee another elektra movie ever,unless someother studio buys the rights to it.

I see that you are a big Elektra fan and that it would hurt your feelings to hear negative comments about you favorite character. If you look at this genere of film, you will notice that female superheroines do not do well at the box office unless they are in an ensemble cast (case in point, "Charlie's Angels" and "X-Men"). Considering the fact that Elektra did not do well at the boxoffice when it debuted it would be considered a big risk for a studio and a production company to take on such a project. Maybe it could have a second chance if a film like "Wonder Woman" could break the string (though I doubt it). I would think that "Elektra" may have a better chance as a syndicated live-action or animated skein. Sorry about that, but keep your hopes up.

I know, I know... I should stop spazzing about people not agreeing. It just makes me mad because, since I'm not that big of an Elektra comic fan, I'm a big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big... well not that big but I'm stilla hee-uge fan of JENNIFER GARNER. I just thought she was really good at kicking butt. I wish she would do some big time action movie that could help an Elektra sequel or Daredevil sequel out. 1. That's only the production budget. No mention of the promotion budget.

2. The movie was a critical failure. Movies that were critical failures tend to not get sequels. Take a look at Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace was made by an entirely different company. The Salkinds wanted nothing to do with Superman IV because Superman III and Supergirl were critical failures. Warner Bros then took full control of the franchise and eventually made Superman Returns, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Superman II. Take a look at Batman & Robin, no sequel was made to that movie and Warner Bros. did a restart to the franchise with Batman Begins.

3. The returns for Elektra in the end probally just allowed Fox to break even or make only a couple million. The returns were just not worth making an Elektra 2, which probally would have truly bombed.

I think Elektra deserves another chance. She is a perfect female character for the big screen. But when should they do it? I like Jennifer Garner and she is really really really good at action and I want her to be Elektra but if they re-do it in about 5 years it would be someone else. I mean JG is like 30 isn't she? Well back to the point. Elektra is a good character and deserves another chance at the big screen.

Elektra deserves another chance more than DDDon't you think? But should Marvel retry Elektra.
