Will Forte is The Last Man on Earth

I hope it turns out that none of these people are real & Phil is just really nuts now

So, did anyone else think that Carol and Phil were play-acting for the benefit of everyone else in the street?

I didn't buy that they were actually having sex. Sure, Phil was topless and Carol also appeared to be topless, but their vocalisation appeared to be WAY over the top and ... well, there didn't appear to be the right ... rhythmic motion going on.

And with Phil's appreciation for Carol's scarf and different kitten nails, although they're somewhat stereotypical attributes, I have to wonder whether he is gay, felt that he could trust Carol with the truth and asked her to pretend to enter into a relationship with him because the attention from all of the other girls was making him uncomfortable. That doesn't quite explain why they needed to be together in bed for their "performance", unless they were trying to cast shadows on Carol's bedroom window/curtains.

I don't know. All of the characters are behaving pretty poorly at the moment. Even Phil seemed to be incredibly rude in not learning Todd's name. There are only six other people on the planet and he can't learn all of their names? And the duo of ladies were very straight-foward when approaching Tandy for sex, so why have they been so reticent with Phil? Melissa was also behaving a little oddly with Todd, although to be fair, Todd has been behaving extremely poorly due to his unsubstantiated jealousy.

If they were acting, what would be the purpose of them getting naked and in bed?

They could've very well acted that whole scene fully clothed and NOT on top of each other. It's not like the rest of them were peeping through the windows...

Besides, it's been long established that that's how Carol gets when she's having sex. Loud and for some odd reason, REALLY into camping.

As far as the lack of thrusting, it was mentioned in an interview that they pretty much can't move during those scenes if they want to maintain the proper rating on FOX.

Ha, Phil's brother is an astronaut. He's the Last Man In Space.

That was a great ending for the first season. Can't wait to see what they have for us next season. I wonder where they will end up? Houston maybe?

I'm not sure where they'll go, but I gotta say, I really liked this first season. It was something completely fresh compared to most TV shows. Can't wait to see what happens in season 2.

Completely agreed. Will and Kristen's dynamic was the best part of the show anyway

I wonder if Phil2 is going to chase them down, and if Phil1 will reunite with his astronaut brother?

To avoid confusion, wouldn't it be better to call Phil 1 Tandy?

He's not Tandy anymore, now that they left.

Other options:

Mid-transition male-to-female transgendered person
Male astronaut who was on the international space station when it all happened and somehow makes his way back to earth
Children of either gender

I was wrong about Phil 2.0 being gay, but it is scary when one of my more outlandish predictions actually becomes real.

There a chance that Phil 2.0 could become a second season villain? And yes that was funny seeing Phil's brother.

I'd be happy with never seeing Phil 2 again, he was a horrible actor and clearly was hired because of his looks
