Will Freddy or Jason return?

Being a very big Nightmare on Elm Street fan,I'm much more interested in a new Elm Street film(esp. a prequel),but after the success of Freddy vs. Jason I'm really surprised that New Line hasn't cashed in on either character yet. I know that a Friday the 13th film was due out this year around Halloween but for some reason that idea was thrown away. Of course,Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween is due out next year,but Krueger and Voorhees are the top of the horror mountain. New Line better wake up(before Robert Englund get too old to play Freddy)!

A couple of months ago, Robert Englund talked about how John Carpenter was in talks to bring Michael Myers into the versus battle.

Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael is still in the works, but don't expect anymore Freddy movies. I seriously doubt it.

I don't expect Michael to come into the vs. movie because I'm pretty sure the studio doesn't own the license and Rob Zombie is already directing the next Halloween and if it's good, expect more Michael movies.

I'm going to ee Robert Englund in August so I'll try and ask him about that Nightmare prequel. I REALLY wanna see this film done more than anything. I imagine a "Silence of the Lambs" type horror film.

Freddy vs. Jason was good, and I would love to see a sequel involving either Ash or Michael Myers. But I want to see the Freddy prequel and next Jason film first.


We need a new vs. movie......I think someone in another thread mentioned something like a Chucky vs. Leprachuan (sp?)film. That would be interesting....

Halloween is getting a reimaginationing/remake by Rob Zombie, this has already been confirmed Michael Myers is out of the picture.

The next Friday the 13th movie is NOT a remake (thank God).

It's a sequel that ignores the "zombie Jason" sequels (parts 6 to 10) and statrs right where part 4 left off, with Jason still human.

They both should come back. Both characters would benefit alot from today's special FX's. I think both characters should go the Star Wars "restoration route" on the previous films and enhance the special effects.

I wouldn't mind if either came back as long as it's not a (vs.) movie. FvsJ was complete garbage and I sure as hell don't want to see a sequel with another character like Ash thrown in.

1. Jason prequel would be good if done by the right people.

2. We already know how Freddy became Freddy. There's no need to make the prequel. If the new gen needs to know how Freddy became Freddy rent the films!

I want a new VS. movie. Freddy and Jasonare cool, but how would Freddy get his body back? Michael Myers is my all-time favorite horror villain, so seeing him inthe VS. movie would be great to me. Just imagine those three going at it. The Rob Zombie/Myers movie better be a good one. Does anyone know if there could be another VS. movie? Like have writers are anyone talked about it? I remember seeing somewhere that Englund wanted Leatherface and Chucky in the next one, anyone remember that?
