a few months ago i watched this Superman documentary about the Superman comics, tv series, movies and more and there was this part from a comic where Superman was killed at his wedding with Lois Lane(i never read the comics i only seen the movies and tv series and once i read a comic of Superman) and while the wedding was happening this monsterous creature named Doomsday came into the wedding and had beaten Superman to death. so i had this idea that maybe they would make a movie about that 4 Superman 6 which i think should very well be the last 1 of the franchise, i dont know if that would be the best idea but it should be worth trying, what do u think?

well, seeing that Routh signed on for 3 films, I dont see him dying off for good in MOS is happening

He more or less already died/resurrected in SR. To do it in the next movie would just be redundant and pointless.

I like the idea of superman dieing in one of the films, but I think he should die sacrificing himself for the world of Lois or something, otherwise you've got Doomsday running around ruling the world and no superhero to beat him up.

Brandon is interested in a Batman Superman Film, not a versus, he'd like to see the two of them saving the world, he said the should be freinds not foes!

Woud Marvel do a Spiderman/Hulk or Hulk/Iron Man or X-Men/Spiderman or FF/X-Men movie?

Then why should/would DC to a Superman/Batman movie? It makes no sense.

There is no Superman 6 ....

But he wont die in the sequel to Returns, its unlikely.

I do want to see them attempt the Death of Superman Saga by the end of the third film though. Hopefully the Animated release will get WB interested in it again.

Jason would be 16 or older by the 4th film so I want to see him cast with another actor taking the mantle of Kon-El in the comics with the 3 other Supermen for the Death/Return saga.

That would give him a good purpose that should satisfy the comic fans. I always wished Conner was Superman and Lois' son as opposed to just some clone of Luthor and Superman.

I'd rather see the clone story used for the creation of Doomsday or Bizzaro.

But I'd be all for the Batman/Superman film too. Paul Levitz said its inevitable.

WB shouldn't and hopefully wouldn't run the Death of Superman Saga. Superman nearly died twice in Returns, enough is enough. Since that story arc never made it's way to the screen in the 90's, I most likely will never see the light of day on the big screen.

Thats why I said they should wait till the 4th film. If anything, I just want to see Doomsday and the 4 Supermen. I really dont care if Superman dies or not.

My personal opinion is that Doomsday would be the worst villian to show on screen because of the expense of CGI. I wouldn't want to see something like the Hulk. That is just wrong. I have never been a fan of Doomsday, he is so one dimensional as a villian.

I guess it could work if there was a Brainiac-Doomsday or Luthor-Doomsday combo, you need some brain with all that brawn.

Obviously I agree. Doomsday is an action villian which is why I'm hoping they do Brainiac and Doomsday for the sequel. Like Brainiac and Lex work together to create Doomsday.

He doesnt necessarily have to be CGI, some shots of him could be a real costume like The Thing in F4... but hes probably one of the most exciting action villians of Superman.

They could do some awesome fight scenes of him destroying the city, throwing cars around like toys on the highway and Superman fighting him while trying to save civilians.

I think they'll have Superman die at the end of the last movie to pass the torch to Jason, that's where their going. That's what is inferred in SR with Jason touching the Superman costume in the hospital, he'll be wearing the suit someday. :csad:

For your poll thingie I think that the WB part of the franchise should end with the next movie. But they wouldn't have to kill supe's to do it. They should just restart it like they did Batman. That would be their best course of action.

In short, End the Donner age and bring some new ideas.

sounds good, but i dont know a lot about Superman because i have only read like a couple of his comics but ive seen all of the films and the only villains that were in it were: Lex Luther, General Zod, evil Superman and Nuclear Man. i hated both Superman parts III and IV. mayb WB should use these villains: Brainiac and Doomsday.

Okay, I know I can already hear the flamethrowers going on, but if he 'died' in MOS, they could explore some of Burton's ideas of resurrecting Supes with a black suit, without the corny rebirth and speeding up maturity thing...

No. Just no. No offence to you or Burton but I don't want to see hims lay his hands on another superhero movie, let alone Superman. If he created his own hero (which was his basic plan with Supe's) then let him do it. But just don't let him touch Superman.

What's MOS stand for?

because WB owns the rights to all the characters, unlike Marvel who's characters are all owned by different studios...in fact, the orginal plan for Batman and Superman was 3 films each and then a crossover, dont know if that's still in effect but yeah...also, Marvel is going to do a big crossover film with the characters they own...they're doing solo movies for several of the Avengers, then an Avengers movie featuring all of them

They probably would if the legal red tape wasn't such a nightmare. As Batman and Superman are owned by the same parent company, the logistics would be nowhere near as complicated.

Having said that, I'm not holding my breath that it will happen.

Superman already died and was "reborn" in SR, i doubt it'll happen in The Man of Steel.
