The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 5

I agree. Thor 2 was sort of meh to me. It wasn't bad, it was just...there.

I love how the director got all mad about someone else directing the after credits scene. As if it tarnished his movie or something... Lol.

I enjoyed Thor 2, I though it was better than the first one and IM3.

I think IM3 is the worst movie in the MCU. Something about watching it just makes me cringe.

Don't skip out on the early 616 Spider-Man comics. Start with Amazing Fantasy, followed by Amazing Spider-Man #1 and work your way up. I recommend investing in the "Essential Spider-Man" collections. There are 11 volumes so far, and I believe they give you up to TASM # 240 or so, plus annuals, Giant-Size Spider-Man, and more. Only downside is that they are in b+w.

There is all the Omnibus collection, which is in color:

And the marvel masterworks series:

The only difference between the Essential and Masterworks is one isn't in color and the other is right? And possibly length?

If you'd like to start something new with not many crossings between titles, Amazing Spider-Man v2 30 is a very good start
Ah. I agree with Aziz. I think my first Spider-Man comics I bought as a kid were these from Volume 2. I eventually threw them away but I used a site to look at covers to see which ones I had that I remembered.
This was one of them.

I wish Bennett would've stayed longer. I love this issue.

At least IM3 made interesting choices. As for whether or not those choices paid off, it's up to who you ask. The Mandarin twist was strange to me (as to many others), but the film itself was something different. Thor didn't really add anything new to the table.

IM2 - 7.5
Thor - 8.0
IM3 - 8.0
Thor 2 - 8.5
TIH - 8.5
Captain America - 9.0
Iron Man - 9.0
The Avengers 10.0

I can kinda respect what they wanted to do with it, and film wise, it's very well made. It's just, I definitely wouldn't have gone in that direction. The fact that they could of had an Iron Man movie with an actual menacing villain for once, who used alien rings to fight Iron Man as opposed to a robotic suit like the three villains have before him is such a huge waste of opportunity. It would have been terrific to see Iron Man fight a mere human for once. I mean, we kind of got that with Aldrich "Fire Breathing" Killian but that wasn't too interesting. I wasn't a fan of turning a small character into one of the most generic villains ever.

I'm more disappointed at the fact that IM3 could've been something exceptional than I am about the film itself. The film itself is very good, but what they could of done could of been fantastic.

Dang
It has good points, and certain obvious weaknesses
It's my third favorite in the MCU after Incredible Hulk and Avengers

Yep.
Masterworks also uses more expensive paper
Essentials are more friendly to the environment, to the pockets, and to the indulgence when it comes to amount of stories contained

This issue is in the infamous title reboot
I don't mind the stories in the reboot, but JMS made improvements

Mm. I have Vol 1 of the Essential. I've skimmed through some Masterworks at Barnes and Noble. I like color so if probably go with Masterworks. Plus, I like high quality stuff.

I don't think I've read the JMS stuff but I do love him. Back in Black may be one of the best Spidey stories I've read. It's extremely riveting.

I just didn't like the fact that Pepper was basically the hero in the end. You could argue that Tony's suits saved the day, which they did. I want to see Tony Stark/Iron Man being the hero. We also hardly saw Tony in the suit. Something that really annoyed me.

My rankings.

Captain America - 9/10
Iron Man - 9/10
The Avengers - 9/10
The Incredible Hulk - 8/10
Thor - 8/10
Thor 2: TDW - 7/10
Iron Man 2 - 7/10
Iron Man 3 - 6/10

Avengers 9
Iron Man 9
Thor 7.5
Iron Man 3 7.5
The Incredible Hulk 6
Captain America 6
Thor DW 5
Iron Man 2 4.5

The first Iron Man is the best movie. The Avengers is the most entertaining. Iron Man 3 had a couple missteps but it was quite entertaining and funny, and I liked the winter setting. Thor was very solid, and then the rest of the MCU movies are mediocre to me. The Dark World in particular was super generic and then Iron Man 2 was kind of a mess.

I'm hoping CA2 can have Marvel return to greatness that, I atleast, saw in IM1, CA1, and TA.

Yeah, that story is great

Watching bits of the 4Kids TMNT show, still the best Ninja Turtles show

So I've been watching TSSM on this website called MyVortexx. Right now they have S1 and five episodes or so of S2. I'm hoping they add the rest of S2 soon. I watched all of S1 today. Such a misunderstood show, it's cancellation was a crime.

If you want best quality, I'll suggest the Amazing Spider-Man DVD, it's digital, and carries comics up to some time in 2007
Only Amazing Spider-Man title
Annuals included

They're awesome. All 3 are great.
Indeed

Flipped between quips and funny moments of that show
Good times

Couldn't agree more, I think this one is the weakest movie in the entire MCU so far. I hope it never gets beaten... :csad:

Who here loves Back to the Future?

That entire trilogy is one of my all-time favourites. However, If I had to choose one out of those three as my favourite out of said trilogy, it would have to be BTTF II.
