Wolf on the loose in my complex :C

Coyotes come into the yards and attack pets and small children around here. I was under the assumption wolves were more ferocious.

They have the worse rep....but in actuallity don't cause the problems that coyotes do.

Does anyone else find this story suspicious? I would hope that the reaction of the police wouldn't be grab their guns and shoot all the wolves. Especially since wolves are a protected species.

I love how people will freak out when a Coyote kills a small child. People don't seem to be smart enough to realize that their children are a thousand times more likely to be attacked by a dog.

I didn't realize that. I thought Wolves were ferocious and Coyotes were more like scavengers.

wasn't a burger, no burger joint anywhere for miles just a PB and jelly sandwich and hardly was in that much danger, bear wanted the sandwich not me

The only things wolves or any wild animals give a damn about is their survival. They don't have all the luxuries humans have to be able to spend time worrying about the sanctity of life and such.

Coyotes are the scavenging type, which in turn makes them (a) more likely to come into contact with humans when they scavenge through our garbage and (b) more vicious when protecting their find.

Wolves, being hunters (primarily), won't attack you unless (a) you look to be easy prey, (b) look to be a threat and they have no option to flee, or (c) the wolf in question is sick.
