Someone Just Broke Into My House

When I was just out of college, the ex-boyfriend of my girlfriend at the time tried to climb through her bedroom window when I was staying there one night. I "helped" him inside the house and pummeled the living hell out of him and then threw him out the front door. He never came back. She was pissed at me for it at the moment, but it quickly evolved into "you're my hero" after she realized what he might have been there to do. I installed some good locks on all her windows the very next day. Glad nothing came of the creep that broke into your house.

  you're the man, dude....yeah, my neighbor of all people; lived with his mother in the front apartment. I'm very grateful he punked out.

Years ago someone broke into my parents place while they were gone. The only thing that was taken was some booze. Looking for a buzz, I guess.

Did you win the Halo round though?! :wow:

Of course. At first I thought I heard some ruffling outside, after I pwned some nubs I look outside to see the door wide open and almost everything gone.

The look on the guys face when I came into the room and he was halfway through the window was absolutely priceless. He definitely was not expecting me to be there. He tried to slide back out of the window but I had ahold of him before he could get away. That's why I say I "helped" him into the house. Haha! I suspect that he was there to rape her or something close to it. He was one of those "I can make you love me" guys. He called all the time and harassed her. That stopped too after he met me for the first time on that fateful night. I saw him in a grocery store a few years later, long after she and I had broken up, and he ran away from me. LOL!

Truly, I'm glad nothing came of the guy that broke into your house. A lot of those guys that break into a house they know a woman is living in, especially if she lives alone, have one thing on their mind and it isn't pretty. You should have gone over to his house and told his mother what he did.

I didn't have to....the cops did. It was strange 'cause I saw his mother all the time; nice lady. It makes me very, very careful where I put my spare key now.

I know I've probably said it before.......you rock:bh:

Honestly, don't keep a spare key laying around outside. Give one to a trusted friend or family member or two that can help you out if you ever get locked out of your place. It's just too easy for someone to spot you hiding a spare key or figure out where you might keep one.

Haha, I remember back in 91 someone broke into our house, stole our tv, my video games, broke our entertainment center, and left some LSD papers on the floor to boot. :cmad: I was more pissed about the video games than anything, me being young. But yeah, crooks are everywhere, don't think because you live in a small town or a nice area that you can't get jacked.

yup,yup that's what I did. Mindreader:word:

Someone stole my bike from inside the college not too long ago, few months before that someone broke into the shed where the frozen food was and stole it all.

I keep blades in the house. If someone breaks in I would use them-Not to kill but injure.

And that will be your story when the cops come and find pieces of him everywhere. :p

He just left some LSD blotter lying around? Thats really strange

These stories remind me of that Dane Cook sketch where he breaks into someone's house, and steals nothing. So everyday the family wonders what they took. Hahaha.

I live in my parents basement (yes, I know I'm a living cliche, but I go to a college with no dorms and it's cheaper than an apartment). I heard a sound upstairs, think it's nothing. About 5 minutes later my dad comes down and is like "didnt you hear that?" and I go "Yeah, what?" and he tells me he heard a noise, got up, and there was some guy in our house and he threw him out. So, that's a pretty big mindf**k as we live in a small ass town with only about a thousand people or so. Goes to show you're not safe anywhere. Glad I sleep with a knife under my pillow cause of my extreme paranoia.

If it makes you feel any better I'm in the same situation.

Yeah, that's f**ked up, though. Glad your dad was a BAMF and kicked that guy's ass out.

^Yeah, I hear tell bravery does make the chicks wet down there.

Of course by wet down there you mean drooling, from the mouth.

So did you guys report it or what?

Just got back from work, and I have an update.

Yes, we reported it, and I learned a bit more of what happened. Apparently around 4:00 my dad woke up, looked over, and saw some guy sneaking into his music room (my dad is a guitar player and runs a guitar buisness from our house) and at first thought it was either me or one of my friends. He then realized this was dumb as I wouldnt be sneaking, neither would my friends (who do come and go as they please when I'm here) but wouldnt be f**king around in his work space.

He got up, asked what the f**k he was doing there, and he didnt know. He kept asking him who he was and what he was doing there while backing him out into the kitchen, and he kept refusing to tell him, so my dad pulled a butcher knife on him and told him to "get the f**k out of my house, or I'll kill you." The guy promptly ran the f**k away.

The next morning we called the cops, and they found the guys car (Jeff something is his name, apparently) still parked in the back ally. They looked for him, but he wasnt around when they checked earlier, and we havent heard back yet (Luvernes finest, on the case :whatever:...this is the same police department that when our van was joy rided once told us "dur, just lock your door next time, case closed!" and never looked into it at all. I dont expect them to do s**t about this really.)

The guy wasnt wearing a coat or anything, and it's been about -10 out here for the last day or so, so we're wondering if he was drunk or high, and maybe just stumbled out and froze to death somewhere.
