No, but they should do it, let's face it, we'll never have x-men teams without Wolverine unless he's in another one.just because he has his solo movies it doesnt mean he wont be the lead character on the team ones.
DOFP being the best example.
Considering he would be under a lot of make and/or prosthetics, and have a totally different accent and character, I dont see what the problem would be for him being cast as OR.
yeah, I think his fans deserve to have one comic about Wolverine.
Im surprised Marvel hasnt done it after all these decades
Hmm I think a more well-known actor would be better for Omega Red and for the film. The reason why The Wolverine didn't earn that much in the U.S. is the lack of very well-known actors. They marketed it as "a Hugh Jackman" film and Famke Jannsen was only shown in the 1st trailer once. Of course it helped FOX to save some money but the mix of few mutants / a film with mostly not-so-well known actors, didn't help the film to perform better at the domestic box-office.
With two movies under his belt, I think its finally time to give Wolverine his own comic.

Am I missing something? No, but they should do it, let's face it, we'll never have x-men teams without Wolverine unless he's in another one.
I don't understand what that answer has to do with my point
I said Fox will never do an X-Men film without Wolverine unless they can put the character into another one like a Wolverine Spin-off or an x-force film, what does that limited series have anything to do with my point?Umm.... Everything unless I'm missing something.
Well, they could just fill out the rest of the cast with well known actors, its what Marvel has done for a few of their movies, namely Thor and GOTG, and it certainly worked on Thor with that movie being very successful.
Also, for Omega Red we need an actor who can act, which Durand can, and who can tower over Hugh Jackman, Durand is the only actor I have ever seen do that, especially in Real Steel.
I have seen Kevin Durand before like in Reel Steel, Origins: Wolverine, Resident Evil 5 and Lost. And IMO, he's a very average actor. Not bad, not great. Plus the fact that he already appeared in a X-Men movie and as Blob, I would like to see someone that haven't appeared in a X-Men movie.
For me he was very good in 3:10 To Yuma, Real Steel, I Am Number Four and Legion, and decent in Origins with what he had to work with. He made a great villain in IANF and a good sadistic character in RS, plus he can do the accent, I think he would be the perfect Omega Red.
I want someone like John Travolta to play Omega Red.
This makes more sense. Good casting.I think that someone like Oleg Taktarov would make a good Omega Red. He is a former UFC fighter and played a badass Spetznaz soldier in the movie Predators. Plus, he's actually Eastern European.
I can't see that.
Sorry proof read what you were replying to.I said Fox will never do an X-Men film without Wolverine unless they can put the character into another one like a Wolverine Spin-off or an x-force film, what does that limited series have anything to do with my point?
Yeah I can't see Travolta in much of anything with all his tabloid fodder as of lately least of which this film.^No offence, but I think Travolta is a terrible choice for Omega Red, I cant really think of many worse, and again I honestly mean no offence.
Eric Bana wouldnt be a bad choice for Omega Red either, he is tall and fit himself like Hugh, and has played all kinds of roles.
Awesome! Its about time.

I wouldn't mind Eric Bana though.
I honestly don't take offense with that.
I'm all up for a Wolverine 3. But let's be fair and let Hugh finish his nap first.
And please, no John Travolta as Omega Red. I like the Kevin Durand idea, though...although he already appeared in Origins. Wouldn't mind seeing Liev Schreiber back as Sabertooth either.
