In an article about another new project for Hugh (another comic book!), writer Marc Guggenheim is mentioned and it says he's written some Wolverine installments. Anyone familiar with him?

Jackman of All Trades
Wolverine actor creates comic book character called Nowhere Man.
by Chris Tilly, IGN UK

UK, March 25, 2008 - Hugh Jackman is turning his hand to comic book creation, teaming up with writer Marc Guggenheim on the forthcoming series Nowhere Man.

According to Variety, story will be set in a future where mankind has traded privacy for safety, and the main character will be reminiscent of the one Will Smith played in I Am Legend.

If successful, Virgin Comics are hoping to transfer the series to the big screen as a potential franchise for the Australian star.

Speaking of the project, Jackman said: "I've had so much fun in the graphic novel world with the X-Men franchise that I wanted to get even more involved. I'm excited to work with Virgin and Marc and create a compelling character and story that hopefully will also make it to the big screen."

The series will mark Jackman's first foray into the comic book world, although his co-creator Guggenheim has a wealth of experience, having previously written installments of both Wolverine and The Amazing Spider-Man.

He wrote WOLVERINE (vol.3) 42-48 and 57-61. The first arc was a tie-in to CIVIL WAR and was pretty excellent. He had Logan's voice down perfectly; but in the plot he had Logan regenerating from being a chared skeleton to normal within a couple of minutes - basically because he didn't understand (or remember) the plot to UNCANNY X-MEN ANNUAL 11. His second arc featured art by Howard Chaykin that a lot of people hated, he had Logan fight the Angel of Death and the magical tone of the story didn't match the character at all. He also ressurected Lord Shingen from Claremont and Miller's classic WOLVERINE 1-4.

He's currently part of the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 'brain-trust'.
