with the Maximoff twins being featured in the avengers sequel, do you think DC might be inspired to include their our young brother/sister twin duo in a future Justice League movie...

could these characters ever be done justice/or taken seriously on the big screen?

Most certainly not with those costumes or catchphrase. They'd have to be HEAVILY reworked and I don't think that's a priority for WB.

But with the strange priorities Warner Brothers have, Wonder Twins may very well be made before Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, (big screen) Green Arrow and Hawkman

The last effect DC wants is for a line of artistic/narrative continuity being drawn to the Super Friends.

Indeed, the kid-centric aspect of DC must be avoided if JLA is going to be a success. That means the WTs, Kid Flash, Bat-Mite, Krypto, Ch'p etc, must be sidelined. JLA has to fit the tone that Man of Steel set.

I don't think Kid Flash has to be sidelined any more than Robin or Aqualad or Speedy would. Roy Harper is in Arrow and that didn't screw up the tone. If they play their cards right, the sidekicks can be a part of the heroes' stories successfully.

As far as Ch'p goes, he's an alien. If they make him look alien enough, people will get over the fact that he's a squirrel. Marvel's going for Rocket Raccoon in Guardians. Gauging the reaction from that, we will tell if talking animals can work in comic movies.

I agree about the rest of them though.

JLA isn't yet established, so WB has to eliminate any possible creative speed bumps. It has to avoid the 70s stink of kids and fuzzy animals fighting global/intergalactic threats. For JLA to have any shot at being DC's counterpart to the Avengers, it can't come off as a live-action Super Friends.

Marvel is established on screen, so they can take some chances. However, they need to be careful, too. If the MCU starts winking at the camera too much, the old perception of "funny book" movies might creep back into the GA.

I think that WB/ DC need to start a separate Kid friendly DC Universe (continuity) and make movie around properties that would not gel with regular DC hero movies like Batman, Superman.

Keep all kid oriented movies in that continuity, they could make movies that are lighter, have more comic booky feel.

Shazam (Captain Marvel), Wonder Twins, Blue Beetle, Doom Patrol, Metal Men are perfect for this.

That's a brilliant point. I couldn't agree more, and I'd be more than happy to take my kids to a movie like this.
