Wonder Woman Costume Suggestions

I've seen many threads for costume ideas for movie versions of Batman and Superman, but yet haven't seen one for here!

Supposing when WB does finally get around to making a Wonder Woman movie, what would you like the costume to look like?

Battle skirt yes! Bikini pants NO!

It has to be the one piece swimsuit. But I'd prefer the new 52 version. The Silver works better than the gold to differentiate her from Superman's costume.

I saw a fan film/fan edit of Superman vs Doomsday, and they had digitally manipulated shots of Xena Warrior Princess to make her look like Wonder Woman, which looked really cool.

So I say design her outfit to look kinda like Xena's armor.

Wonder Woman's costume is one of the biggest problems DC is going to have in a Justice Leage movie.There's no way they are going to have a half-nude woman for 3 hours in a superhero movie

I like the pants, waist, and the lack of cleavage, all while keeping the essential elements of the traditional costume.

The main thing I'd change is the gauntlets. While these are cool, I'd prefer the originals.

I don't believe this should be her movie look, but i do believe she should adopt a more functional, modern warrior tribe vibe.

I'd like for her clothing to reflect supposed Amazon culture in the myths, and to hell with the stupid comic book design. Apparently (from what we know about the myth) they wore robes, and later artwork showed them wearing long, tight fitting pants. No mention of bikini bottoms. In my opinion, there should never be a Wonder Girl in the DC Cinematic Universe...so give Wonder Woman her pants, with the breast plate being some sort of decorative armor. She can wear a colorful robe in other scenes that share the color scheme.

Well for starters, get rid of the swimsuit outfit (I hate it). Give her a Greco-Roman battle skirt, some pieces of armor (like leg armor), and maybe even traditional sandals (no high heels).

It was designed to be a "man catcher suit". Heavily protected, no offensive weapons, just weighted ropes and lassos.

For a movie i would get women (from fashion, sports and military) to give input or design the suits themselves.

To believe a 3000 year old women ruled society would still be wearing Greek (male-centric) garbs... it's an insult to any woman really. I mean, even Greeks don't wear them anymore. Their culture is supposed to be highly advanced, it's time a team of creators (get women creators seriously) imagine a whole different culture, an evolution branch 3000-4000 years of isolation of a bunch of warrior women.

I also like the "long pants" Injustice costume design, provided they add straps to the breast-plate.

And yes, I know that Wonder Woman isn't Xena. But, they had great costume designers on that show. And plenty of different warrior women characters to wear them!

I don't think they have to stray too far from the comic look, after all THIS is the costume from a Wonder Woman porno "parody", a PORNO film, and it actually looks GREAT...

Now, if a porn movie can translate a faithful comic suit that well, just imagine what a big budget Hollywood film can do. Make it a little more "battle-ready" and functional looking, sure, but I think this shows that a pretty comic accurate suit can look good.

Perfect costumes are perfect. If they want people to WW serious on the big screen then they need her outfit to be as good if not better than Xenas outfit.

That the "comic accurate" suit fits so well a porno movie, speaks heights of her origin as a spanking, bdsm war pin-up, and the function of the design: make soldier boys horny. Lingerie is never battle ready and seldom functional, no matter how many buckles you add. I don't get why people still push for comic accurate translations after Iron-man:

Somebody wrote an article asking if superhero porn can save the porn industry. If there are enough fans who would buy this stuff what does it say about the demographic that Warner Bros. wants?

Well I don't know if that's a straight comparison. Back in 2007, Iron Man didn't look like that in the comics. The movies were pretty much a straight adaption of what was going on in the comics costume in the last few years.

With WW, the new 52 look is her current 'modern' look. And people don't think that would work. I don't think anyone's arguing for her 1940's look.

Well for me new 52 designs are crap (and definitely not modern), so i would gladly go with a skirt instead of panties. The guy posting silk specter clearly didn't get what she represents or denounces: misogynistic eye candy women heroines. The latex underwear design should had given it away.

What for? She isn't on file and she breaks concrete with her fists, gloves are for secret identities, super spies and supers without enhanced durability. Princess yes, but of the amazons, i rather see her hands bruised and rough from battling then perfectly manicured things, I dream ok?

I think gloves could help with updating the costume design. It has nothing to do with protection or guarding her identity.
