Wonder Woman Movie in Development

Gunn says he has plans for Nubia. No idea if its in film or tv

They can't fast track it. They don't even have a script, the last time i heard.
We don't need another Jurassic World: Rebirth fiasco. Not for Wonder Woman.
All they're saying is that it's now a priority and at the top of the list for projects to develop. This doesn't mean they're gonna start filming tomorrow.

I'd rather them to take the time to come up with a good script first, then make it, suddenly, a priority and maybe start cutting corners.
Before his Superman was released Gunn barely talk about a Wonder Woman movie, and suddenly they want to make it a priority...
I don't like the sound of that, sorry.

Fastracking a movie and making a good script are not mutually exclusive.

I always figured Wonder Woman was put on the back burner to focus on Batman and Superman along with the other obscure properties Gunn wanted. Looks like those obscure ones are being put on the back burner in favor of the heavy hitters.

Makes sense, wonder woman is a key character that they need front and centre. Supergirl is next year and a batman movie is coming out in 2027 so they could be aiming for early 2028 for wonder woman or late 2027.

Yes, can't wait for it.
Love the idea of Adria Arjona playing Diana so hopefully she really gets the role.

I think summer 2027 could be the perfect release date.
I was thinking the same thing but that would really depend on the script status. They would need it completed by end of this year in order to put it into production for spring next year. I could see them moving the batman sequel up in order to give wonder woman a bit more time.

When James Gunn made his announcement he was clear he hadn't announced everything.

He also said you would see Wonder Woman within the first three years of the DCU.

Of all the projects announced by Gunn initially, only Superman, Peacemaker Season 2, Creature Commandos, Lanterns and Supergirl have show any visible progress.

In that time, we've also had Clayface, Seargent Rock, the animated Blue Bettle series, Teen Titans, the Starfire animated series, My Adventures with Green Lantern, Dynamic Duo and others move closer to production than what Gunn initially announced.

In the first 3 years? When did he said that. I want to see it. The only thing Wonder Woman realated I saw he spoke about was his GOTlike Themyscira Series. and i'm pretty sure he made sure to emphasize, that Diana/Wonder Woman won't be a part of it

Yeah. Fast tracking doesn't mean that they're gonna rush it into production. It means they've made it a priority to find a writer and director, and to actually start working on a Wonder Woman movie.

The question is if it means they'll take the time to come up with a good script, first, or they'll settle for a passable one to rush it up and we'll get another WW84.

My post you quoted is the answer to your question.

Studios in general are developing way more movies than we ever hear about or announce. Just because they news came out this week, doesn't mean they only just now started writing a Wonder Woman script.

I think it just that i have Less faith in Gunn and the new DC heads then you, when it comes to Wonder Woman.

Zaslav: Change her logo. I don’t want people thinking that “W” stands for woke!!!
