Wonder Woman Movie in Development

Adria is inevitable like Jenna Ortega as Raven or Chris Pratt voicing a beloved cartoon character. :o
It'd be great to have a genuinely good actress in the role this time.

Not that I didn't think that Gal Gadot did fine in the first Wonder Woman movie (found the praise for her to be very overrated at the time of BVS tho - maybe it was the excitement of seeing the character in a big budget movie for the first time, but she wasn't really good int that).

What do we have against Jenna Ortega.
It’s just low hanging fruit as far as casting Raven goes when the animated Teen Titans essentially turned her into a super powered Wednesday Addams.

I don't think they'd be that obvious anyway. And like I said, Jenna Ortega probably deserves the switch to adult roles now.

If they cast a talented actor who happens to be a day over 30, how much will it bother you?
Not even a bit. If they cast a 5'7 or under on the other hand - it will bother me a lot more.
Now it's your turn to answer my question.
No. What I'm asking is why you think a model turned actress is better then a theoretical straight up actress and the only answer you seem to have is height. Which is not a requirement for good acting.

You are fixated on young in a way I do not think correlates with my own. Someone in their mid 30s is very much "young" to me. :funny:

Which major role has been filled by an unknown actor so far in the DCU?

Superman? Nope.
Lois? Nah.
Lex? Negative.
Supergirl? No.
Three different Lanterns? Nada.
Lobo? Literally Aquaman.
****ing Peacemaker? Not even ****ing Peacemaker.
Really? Except Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Holt was Corenswit really a known actor? where else did you see him in?(except fan casting)
Alcock... What else did you see her in other then "House of the Dragon"? How famos was she really before she was cast as Supergirl? Did you hear or know(outside of fan casting) about Aaron Pierrei before he was cast as the main GL? And... Peacemaker?LOBO??? Are you serious?

I agree height is not a requirement for good acting. It also doesn't say a tall actress can't be a good actress. However, when you doing your casting you can make height a requirement. Age, too (I bet there were an age and height requirement, when they were casting for Superman. Why is it OK to do it with actors, but not with actresses?). You know what the only change height and age requirements will do to the casting process? A smaller pool of candidates, but it doesn't mean no good actresses, will be in this small pool, who can fit the role just fine .

Pearl and The Politican. The reason why David was a popular fancast here is people actually watch stuff.

Are you implying that being in House of the Dragon on it's own, isn't enough? Was Emilia Clarke still an "unknown" actress after the first season of Game of Thrones? A show that was watched by a fifth of what the first season of House of the Dragon was watched by? :funny:

Notice you skipped over Hal and Guy. And if you're downplaying the importance of Peacemaker and Lobo, that also means they're casting smaller roles with named actors. Isabela Merced is also decently well known and has well over a dozen credits to her name in starring and major supporting roles.

What is "short" about a 5'7 woman? Are you implying there are no ways to make someone look taller? Tom Cruise and RDJ not action stars? As for age, you are literally trying to block out people David's age. That's the point.

Acting > Height. If you have the perfect person to portray Wonder Woman at 5'6 and 35, the idea that she shouldn't be cast is ridiculous. Rachel is older then Adria Arjona.

How do you measure actors and actresses popularity/being famous? By the fans or the GA? Do you think the GA had any idea who Corenswet ,Alcock and Pierre were before they were cast? Do you think the GA would recognize their faces before they were cast? if the answer is mostly - no - They weren't a well known. In fact they were - Unknown.
I didn't mentioned Fillion and Chandler because there won't be 3 GL on the Justice league at once, when they'll get to the JL(If they'll get there). In your opinion who will be the main GL at the DCU from those three?

Cinema's magic is great it's also cost a lot of money and demands a lot of manipulation during the filming - more time, more money. If they'll have a naturally tall(and robust) actress in the role of WW, how much do you think the production can save on all this "Cinema magic"?

Using this logic, there are four known actors. Leo, Tom, Will, and Taylor Swift. :funny:

I knew all three of them before they were cast. tens of millions around the world watched House of the Dragon s1 both legally and otherwise. More people know her then 99% of actors.

You mentioned Lex and Lois. They aren't going to be members of the JL either. You're changing the parameters of your own argument.

Perrie is a ridiculous argument. The reason he was cast is because of Rebel Ridge. Where he got on everyone's radar. I saw it. It was on Netflix. It's really good. Lots of people saw it.

Being super famous is not what it means to be a "known" actor. What you're doing is confusing terms because you want a specific type of casting. Now let's see if you'll answer a few questions.

How many actors on your list are more talented then Adria Arjona?

Do you know the average height of a woman in the US?

What massive movie magic is used to make Tom Cruise or RDJ look taller?

What is your issue with women in their 30s?

How much time and money do you possibly think is spent making actors look taller than they are? Serious question.

Who will be the DCU Wonder Woman!
Saw this lady on the news today and I haven't seen her mentioned a ton. Her name is Genevieve Chenneour and she's a certified badass for fighting off a guy trying to steal her phone! She's 27 and to me she has the closest look to classic Wonder Woman. At 5'7 she's not the tallest but neither are most of the popular suggestions. Not only does she look the part but she has good range as an actress and practices boxing! Unfortunately she doesn't seem to have that much exposure, so I don't know if she has a realistic shot but I hope she can at least land an audition.

Here is the news story with footage of her beating that idiot who tried to steal her phone.

Here is a short film that almost feels like an audition for WW with her grieving the loss of a loved one. Skip to the 7 minute mark for the good stuff.
