i know a lot of you have worst moments in amusement parks

for me, i just got back from Six Flags Over Texas and funny enough my first ride i went to broke down right when we are about to drop, it was windy and could see the whole park from that view. i waited for about 15 minutes until they fixed the ride and we dropped. being stuck for 15 mins from that high was worst thing that ever (i think, cant remember) been on

It's reading about experiences like yours that keep me away from Amusement Parks. That, and the weirdos. :D

Aw, don't knock it before you try it! You're really missing out! There's nothing better than going on every roller coaster in an amusement park without pausing and then feeling like you're going to puke and/or die. :woot:

That being said, in Disney World when I was little my family was waiting in line to go on the Dumbo ride and she stuck her head between the bars of the gate and her head got stuck. It took hours and they had to call the fire department and disassemble the thing and everything. Forget being plunged straight down from 200 feet high, those gates are dangerous!

I'm going to Six Flag Magic Mountain tomorrow, hope I don't come back with any "bad" experiences. >_>

I can't really remember any bad amusement park experiences. I haven't been to one for years, because I hate children.

i was five years old and my brother and sister were on a ride and it caught fire...everyone was okay but it was scary.

I had a friend who got stuck on top of the Magnum roller coaster at Cedar Point in the mid nineties for several hours. I cannot imagine that as a child.

My worst...we went to Florida's Busch Gardens, and a tropical storm blew in...and I'm 10, my brother and sister are like seven and five respectively. So my two elderly grandparents had gone off alone to check out some brewery, and this hurricane force storm comes up...the game tents and structures are all blowing away, sheets of rain, thunder and lightning, people panicking right and left, and my mom's all "Let's play some more games to pass the time" while our stroller blows away. Meanwhile, we're making our way to the parking lot and she and my aunt are whispering not to tell the children if they find our grandparents dead somewhere. Afterward, we went to K-Mart, bought massively oversized t-shirts and tube socks, and spent half the night at a McDonald's.

lost a pair of glasses on this ride.

also had the power go out on the Georgia Scream Machine and had to walk down from the top.

Six Flags Atlanta-nothing but thugs. nuff said.

Sure did...I went often, had season passes and all that.

I remember a time when I was 10 years old and my mom had to go to the bathroom and she asked some random guy at the concession stand to watch me for a second. The problem with sixflags is they transplanted most of the people in section 8 in Atlanta to that area after the 96 olympics.

Well that explains a lot....time frame is about right also. Last time I went was 98 or 99.

They didn't allow me access to the restrooms last year at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World because I didn't have a special wristband. The park was closed off to 'regular' guests at 9pm because of a Christmas event that they charged extra for (which is what the writbands were for) It was 9:15 when they turned me away from the john.

Okay had a great experience today except for on X2. I cracked my head pretty hard and even know my brain still hurts. :(

I was at Disney World's "Magic Kingdom" and one of those nasty-ass, garbage-eating sea gulls flew by me and crapped on my head. The droppings trickled quickly down my face...

...And some of it landed on my lip.

:dry::dry::dry::dry::dry:

Not so magical. I had a bird drop a load on my back yesterday. Not cool. :csad:

None of these experiences could be any worse than if you were the one responsible for decapitating that stupid kid who hopped clearly marked fences at an amusement park down South while back.

I've had two such experiences that can be traced to a single ride: Tagada Disco, THE SPINNING DISC OF HELL. :o

First time, my seatbelt came undone and I had to hang on to the railing for dear life. Possibly, I could've died and become a bloody smear on the concrete floor. Second time, the bumps were so violent that I had three bruises to show for it, two on my back and one on my left elbow. Don't you just love negligence.

Once, on a week long trip to Disney World, my parents and I were waiting for the shuttle bus back to our hotel when a five foot long snake slithered out of the bushes right next to where we were standing and out into the parking lot. I was not pleased

I was at Six Flags Great Adventure a couple summers ago and I only got to ride on 2 roller coasters, The Superman one and the Batman one. The lines were incredibly long and I waited in line most of the day just for the Superman ride alone (which ended up sucking). It was really hot that day also. The DC gift shops sucked and were over-priced. I vowed not to come back again.

they key is not going during the noon/afternoon time
they best time to go is in the morning or the 2-3 hrs before it closes

Six Flags Great America up here in the Gurnee area. Summer of 2007, when I was at CDW...we got to go to the park as a corporate outing before it opened to the public. Got on the Batman with a female friend of mine....son of a ***** got stuck coming off a loop, so we're just sitting there hanging for like two minutes. I was like, "anybody starts moving around, you know what's gonna happen." Nervous laughter :oldrazz:

What in the hell? That's awesome. How could that possibly be a bad experience?

I got staph infection about two weeks ago on my right index finger. I have to keep my finger bandaged in gloss until it's completely healed. So this past Saturday I went with some friends to Universal Studios (I have season passes) and they scanned my card...and ask me to place my right index finger on the machine. Obviously that would be a problem, so they had to get a supervisor to come and reset the machine so I could go through. All my friends were laughing at me. It was pretty embarrassing. :csad:
