Oh hell yes. Even a pretty lame villain can be written in an interesting way (like how they did Maxie Zeus and his group of non-gimmicked and fairly concerned flunkies). I never liked Scarface/Ventriloquist until I saw them in action on the series. And lets not forget that Mr. Freeze would definately be on this list if the animated series crew hadn't worked their magic on him and actually made him interesting.

The TBAS dvd box sets are excellent (so many memories!)

I'll go with the Calender Man, because they keep bringing him back and keep trying to make him cool while failing to do so.

At least guys like the Penny Plunderer are long forgotten, and Maxie Zeus is often treated like a joke.

Cat-Man is a badass, or at least he was in Villains United. Haven't read comics in a while though since Infinite Crisis so he may have reverted back to a turd since then but I hope not.

I decided on Maxie Zeus

I only knew about half of the villains mentioned though, can't believe there was a villain called the Penny Plunderer, I'm presuming he was created a long long time ago in the days of hack comic writing

Although I must admit the reimagining of Maxie Zeus in The Batman was far better than any previous incarnations I've seen or read in the comics, just seemed more dangerous.

In my opinion, the Great White Shark doesn't deserve to be in this category. He's underrated, but not terrible. I actually enjoyed his character while he was used.

He's an informant for the underworld. He was once locked in a freezer, causing him to lose his limbs, appendages, and facial features (except the eyes). The lack of these, along with the remaining flesh, has garnered him the nickname the "Great White Shark".

When he was incarcerated to Arkham, Killer Croc sliced gills into the mans neck.

He's portrayed as a sinister and devious character, actually killing off those associated with the Penguin and framing Harvey Dent for the murder.


His greatest comic appearance is as part of the One Year Later arc.
