Worst Cases of Miscasting

Jessica Alba in Fantastic Four. All the principle performances in that movie except Michael Chiklis, but I'm not sure if they're bad actors or if it was just bad writing.
Ben Affleck in Daredevil.
Jennifer Garner in Daredevil and Elektra.
Halle Berry in X-Men. And she had to ***** for more screen time too.
Topher Grace in Spider-Man 3.
Katie Holmes in Batman Begins.
Kate Bosworth in Superman Returns.

Wow. Comic adaptations have as many heinous casting decisions as they do great ones.

Agreed. And I'm sure they're bad actors.

La beouf as a young Marlon Brando in Crystal Skull.
Jack Nicholson as a too fat too old Joker.
Eric Bana as Bruce Banner.

2 questions.

1 Who would you have rathered had as Fred?

and

2 I pray to the gods above, that that is not the live action Scooby Doo Prequel below Freddie Prinze Jr. :wow:
1. Good question. I don't know...somebody that's actually blonde.
2. I hate to break it to you....:csad:

I liked Knightley in King Arthur....

she acted good, and her character was cool...

but as soon as that skinny girl took out dual swords and started killing hundreds of men twice her size and strength it was a tad ridiculous.

QFT! I like Bana, he's a really good actor but casting a buff, studly guy for Bruce Banner is so many kinds of wrong.

Ioan Gruffold is actually a decent actor....watch any of his Horatio Hornblower series

Martin Sheen as Willard in Apocalypse Now. (De Niro or Clint Eastwood would have been much better.)

you're aiming high, gwynplaine!

by the way, I disagree with you on Bana :o

Bana is the man but not as Bruce Banner IMO.

Bana would've been a good Banner... had it been a good Hulk movie. Alas, it was not.

I also disagree about Sheen :hehe: but.. you mentioned Eastwood.. now imagine that.. Eastwood AND Brando? in the same movie? too much awesomeness for one screen to handle

Claire Danes as Juliet- Romeo and Juliet

I just didn't buy Sheen as the angel of death, but maybe it's just me. I still wonder why Coppola fired Keitel after 2 weeks of shooting.

Diane Kruger- Troy

common... the prettiest woman in the world? which the war was started over?.. she was the ugliest person in the movie lol

Jessica Alba as Sue Storm and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane: Both were two young for these roles. Especially Bosworth. She was only 22 when she filmed SR and she was playing the mother of a 5 or 6 year old.

Clooney as Batman: Nothing I can say about this that already hasn't been said.

Michael Clarke Duncan as the Kingpin. Need I even explain? Why was Daniel Benzali not picked up to do this? He IS the Kingpin. Literally, that's the type of individual he played on the late CBS show 'The Agency.'

I've never heard of this guy before so I looked him up and I think he's too short(5"10) and he's not big enough to be Kingpin. Kingpin is supposed to be HUGE.

Shia LeBouf as Sam Witwicky and Mutt Williams. 1. Jay Duhamel's character should've been the lead human in Transformers and 2. I can't buy him as a greaser who can fight. Ever.
