worst DC film

constatine was pretty bloody bad...can someone say...miscast?

Constantine is a good movie taken as it is. What hurts it is it its ties to Hellblazer. Like Daredevil and Elektra WB toned down the edginess of the franchise to the point they shouldn't have bothered doing it.

Did the people who made Constantine even read the comics?!?

The casting of Reeves (he's a good actor but John Constantine he is not) and the script didn't do it any favors.

I was a fan of Constantine comics and still liked the movie.

I didnt expect much faithfulness.

It's funny that the worst DC movies (Steel and Catwoman) were supposed to be spinoffs of two movies that got stuck in developement hell (Death of Superman and Batman Returns). So the connection was lost when these two movies were made. also I find it funny that it took 16 mil to make Steel and it only took in 1 mil.

haha i remember watching "batman forever" and "batman and robin" when i was little and thinking "man, i love these movies!"...and then watching them again when i was alittle older and thinking "what the hell happened?!?"....but however young i was when i first saw "Steel", i new already that it was awful :)

Somehow this would be more fun if all the DC live action films weren't all Batman/Superman related.

You mean if WB weren't afraid to visit some city other than Metropolis or Gotham?

Aside from the obvious (Batman & Robin / Superman 3 and 4 and Catwoman)

I would have to say Supergirl

^ya sg was horrible...but helen slater was emmy worthy in comparison to shaq as steel. i would watch "open water" again before watching "steel"

I want to say Catwoman, but the sheer fact that I can't sit through Batman Returns tells me that Batman Returns must be the winner. I find the film to be simply unwatchable. It's not even campy or annoying or embarrasing, it's just boring.

the worst dc film's for me is ........ mmmmmmmmmmm maybe Catwoman, but i love Halle Berry, shes so sexy in this role lol MIAOU ! but the movie is better than the "Elektra" in marvel !

-Superman Returns
-The other Superman movies
-Catwoman
-Steel
-Batman Forever
-Batman and Robin

^I think all of the above are crap DC movies IMO. Knowing about these movies I mentioned makes me glad that I am not a big fan of DC's characters for the most part.

"The Other Superman Movies"?... What do you mean... all of them?

Catwoman - It's not horrible. It would make a great Lifetime movie.

Batman Begins - It was ok but it didn't feel like a Batman movie, it felt like it should've been a new hero movie.

Superman Returns - Too much drama, not enough action.

That movie came out before it should have. Today it might make a better movie.

Worst: Catwoman. Laughably bad; awful performance from Halle Berry; terrible (and unnecessary) CGI.

Second worst: Superman IV. A painfully bad end to the Christopher Reeve series, made even more painful by how great the series was at the start.

Third worst: Steel. It's been ages since I saw it, but I recall it barely met the standards of a low budget TV movie.

Fourth worst: Batman & Robin. Campy and cheesy, it's basically the 1960s series turned into a big budget film. It's terrible, but if you watch it in the right frame of mind it's kinda, sorta enjoyable. It certainly has an immense scale to it.

Fifth worst: Supergirl. Another campy, cheesy film. But Helen Slater is so adorable as Supergirl that I actually quite enjoy it.

I've never seen The Return of Swamp Thing, so I can't comment on it, and the only things I remember about Swamp Thing are Adrienne Barbeau's breasts (and for those alone it deserves to stay off the Worst DC Films list).

At it's time Swamp Thing was good. I'd say the movies since 2000, I'd say Catwoman and Superman Returns are tied for the worst.........................well...............well really only had like 4 and not a lot to choose from but still.

Yup,I'm not saying that just because I don't like Superman a whole lot,I just think all of them honestly suck. Gene Hackman as Lex never did it for me,he was too old,had hair, and was pretty much a gimp IMO. If he lost the hair and was a straight up serious version of Luthor then I would have liked the first Superman movie at least.
