Would it be possible for season 3 to be done in comic book form?

Just an idea, but what if Marvel hired the same writers and the people who did the final character designs and set them about making a TSSM comic, either as a limited or ongoing series? I think it could work, but I'm not sure if it's possible due to rights/copyright issues. Do you think it'd work?

There are so many fans of Spectacular Spider-Man that a comic continuation could work. You'd need to make a physical petition to gather signatures if you really want to convince them to create it.

A physical petition could. Online petition? Not so much. Keep in mind that you aren't asking them to bring back the show, you're asking them to make a continuation in comic format. Comics are I'd say less costly than an animated series.

I'd totally buy it... It seems that DC will make the effort to have comic books based off of the cartoon series than Marvel does...why is that?

That brings me to another point...Why in the [CENSORED] does Spider-Man NOT have any Direct to DVD movies? This should be a no brainer Marvel/Sony/Disney...

As for how far it would have gotten...We all know that in the series we would have gotten up to Pete's high school graduation and Gwen would have lived throughout the whole series. As for villains we would have gotten Hobgoblin and Scorpion for sure, Hydro-man, Belladonna and Man-Wolf were hinted at (Greg said the plans for Karven and John Jameson were connected). And also we would have gotten a new line up of the Sinister Six every season. But that's about it as far as we know...they won't answer any "what were your plans for the series" questions.

You couldn't get enough people who would give a damn in comic book form. Why can't people just realize that any part of this show is over forever. Marvel, Sony and the producers of the show have all moved on...accept for a few fanboys still hanging on to hope that will never come.

How much has SSM made for Marvel and Sony in licensing? There's no need to bring it back. Marvel wouldn't even waste ink on that show becoming a comic book, it's not even an after thought to them.

It's why Marvel has been utterly failing when it comes to animation, and even the one good thing they haven't screwed up yet (Avengers: EMH) will probably fail as well once Jeph Loeb gets his dirty hand on it.
