The problem I found is that they left dialogue from that scene on the cutting room floor.

Do have a copy of original dialog for that scene handy to post? I saw it posted somewhere a few days ago, but I'm way too lazy to go digging.

I liked it being placed at the end because at that point your wrapped up with character and there's more of an impact to seeing him wake up present day.

And since they focused on The Shield in the first scene ,
A lot of Non Caps fans might have been geuinely shocked to see Steve at the end.
