Since when is Nightwing supposed to dwarf Batman or Superman, for that matter? He's supposed to be an acrobat/gymnist type. A bit smaller and more limber than a musclebound bruiser.

He is really not the right person for the role. Maybe they're worried if batman has nightwing than it will make things gay so they're going for the least homoerotic choice they could think of.

This happens all the time. An actor is announced in a role of a famous character. Fans flip out because he/she doesn't not look right for the role and has not played a similar role before. They then begin to post pictures of other actors who look more like the character. Most of the time these fan choices are really uninspired, and then the actor/actress who was getting hated on ends up doing a stellar job and winning everyone over. I've learned to stop hating on actors who get cast in comic book roles like this. We've been proven wrong too many times before....

I actually think this may be the time where I can say that the actor chosen for the role(or at least in contention for it) may not be suited for it. I know that pretty much goes against everything I said above, but I too would not want Adam Driver to play Nightwing.

Same here. I can't see him as Robin or Nightwing and the main reason is because when I look at that face it makes me think of a horse.
