BvS Would Richard Grayson be part of this movie?

I knew DC/WB would be bringing in character's from the DC universe onto film, but I didn't think they'd try to make Robin*NightWing* work again. I don't think people have an issue with Robin and or Diana making cameo's in the film, people just have an issue with Robin/Dick on film in general.
Some people like John Campea from AMC movie talk will still see the movie but any enthusiasm for the film is crushed because a character is being introduced on film that hasn't fared that well in the past.
I'm indifferent to it. I don't want to see the Robin side, and If they have Nightwing, have it to where Bruce meets this kid in his 20's and makes him into a side-hero. The whole taking a teen and making him a side kick wouldn't translate well onto the big screen.
I'm slightly worried about the film becoming overstuffed. I still want Superman to be very relevant in the movie, I already have fears that he will be overshadowed.

Ezra looks like Adrien Brody although he does have a very interesting look. I could see him as Nightwing visually. I have never seen him act though.

I've been championing Ezra for a long time now. He needs to hit the weights and he'd be perfect.

Yeah, Ezra is a pretty interesting choice. Penn looks more like the part but Ezra can do it more justice. I wonder what he will be like next to Ben affleck's batman? He doesn't strike me as the more innocent guy next to batman. He would be an epic jason Todd.

As for the other guy, the one from 'girls' just no

Looking at pics of Ezra, his facial structure would look pretty boss under Batman's cowl as well.

I would watch "We Need To Talk About Kevin". Pretty dark role he played.

Hmmm....this is a tough one. I'm not familiar with any of their acting abilities.

This Adam Driver wouldn't be the obivous choice unless they are looking to go for more of a newer "white trash" version of Dick Grayson. Afterall he does come from circus folk. I could actually see the kooky looking kid that Tim Sale drew in Dark Victory growing up to look like a Adam Driver type. However, that said he wouldn't be my first choice for the role out of the three. He's kind of old, way too tall, and far too inbred looking for Grayson. He looks more like a guy that would've had a role in the 1997 indie film "Gummo". I'll find someway of accepting it if he is chosen.

Penn Badgley definitely has the most heroic look out of the three which may or may not be a good thing. Yes he could definitely suit the character's look from the comics very well, but do we really need to attach another handsome face to this film? They already have Cavill and Affleck taking care of that. You don't want it to become a showcase for pretty boys. That said his height is much more in range with what I imagine Nightwing's to be. The adult Mr. Grayson should stand somewhere between an average height of 5'9" to 6'0" in my opinion. His age is something that's abit tricky. He's 14 years younger than Affleck which is the perfect difference between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. It's both old and young enough to have the father/son-older brother/younger brother dynamic those characters should have. However, he's only three years younger than Cavill which could come off as alittle strange.

Ezra Miller has a look that falls in the middle of the two other candidates. His height is good at 5'11". He looks abit slight in build, but he could tone up I suppose. He's 20 years younger than Affleck which might be too much difference for Bruce and Dick. However, he's almost a decade younger than Cavill which is more in line with what I could picture Clark and Dick's age difference to be. He may be too young to convey the idea that he and Bruce haven't spoken in years which would imply to me that Dick should be around his mid 20s'.

I'm not familiar with their acting chops, but Badgley (at least) has the right look.

based on these pics alone, i could see badgely as nightwing and miller as robin(drake), or a teenage damian.

Ezra Miller should be Jason Todd, he's too good of an actor to not be used on the one with the best story.

Of the 3 i'd go with Bedgley for Grayson. Feels like a better fit for the pretty boy of the family.

Yes, it would be best. They can really point out the serious elements this film is going to have, by including Robin's death.
Who to kill him? Change it to Penguin, or Riddler, or Metallo.

For Nightwing, I suggest Kevin Zegers. He's always had a Dick Grayson vibe to him, even back in 1998/99.

I'd love to get little nuggets of dialogue dropped by Ben's Batman. Alluding to events that have already happened in his timeline, like a Robin having been killed, or Barbara being paralysed. "Believe me Clark...I know what it's like to be alone too...the emptiness of loss.." Etc, etc, you get the point. Treating his origins like this too. Alluded to but not heavy.

Penn and Ezra are intriguing names, but I dont believe anything from superheromovienews, they're like cbm and cosmicbooknews

The knly one of those three who are wrong about everything is CosmicBookNews.

The others, far, have been on the up and up.

CBM has been terrible in my experience but maybe they've changed? If these are indeed the three finalists, I'm in the Penn Badgely camp.

cbm is pretty good, but then again they do post el mayimbe "scoops" and el created an account there to tell everyone it's not his fault as a "reporter" that his "scoops" don't pan out, it's because his sources are unreliable. then... all the haters became praisers. i guess there really is not truth in journalism. cosmicbooknews usually get their scoops from here.

anyway. this badgely dude seems like a good nightwing. i don't get all the praise for this driver guy. paul giamatti is a good actor, also critically acclaimed, but he shouldn't be nightwing(if you get what i'm trying to say)

Badgley may be a short arse, but he has my vote against the other two.

Driver is very interesting because of his unconventional looks. He kind of looks like a guy who didn't quite grow out of his boyish features, which could be an angle they're taking with Dick as Nightwing.

Though I haven't seen him act, I'd support him. I'm all for atypical casting as long as it can work. Plus visually, it sets him apart from Affleck and Cavill's chiseled features.

You know, having a simple mask alone to hide is identity, is already difficult to buy. But add Driver's unique features to that, he'd have to run around with cowl like Batman.

I also don't get how we're suddenly regulating Driver as more of a villain type based solely on his looks. That's pretty much what I'm sensing. "He looks more like Alberto Falcone" or "I hope he's more of villain like Joker or Metallo." That's like saying only good looking people can be heroes and ugly looking people can be villains, which whether it's intentional or not, is generally in comics. Hell, there even are good looking villains. So what's wrong with a hero who isn't the best looking guy? It's what they exude that matters. It's no different in terms of how we criticize women's looks here. It isn't fair at all. I get the realty of the desire of seeing good looking people on screen, but if we're so strung up on people criticizing Adams as Lois, there should be a defense for Driver as well. Hell, even more so in his case, because let's face it, Adams isn't quite atypical in terms of looks. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. It's why these discussions get so ridiculously stupid.

All it comes down to is interpretation and what we see on screen. This guy isn't even cast yet. I'd trust Snyder because he is usually spot on with casting. Because unlike us, if he's tested, he's actually seen him act in some context of the interpretation of the film.
