Movies about superheroes are exciting geeks!?!? :wow:
That's not what i was going for.
The point is, they are aimed for geeks, hence the all "Geek *********ion Time".
A Batman movie should be about Batman.
A Superman movie about Superman.
A Captain America movie about Captain America
A Spider-Man movie about.....you get the picture.

I'm more than fine to have other characters in there IF IT MAKE SENSE (most time, it doesn't).

So, to have a Superman/Batman movie they should focus solely on Superman and Batman, which is a lot to handle as it is.

I disagree. This is the first time a character from a main heroe's respective family is hinted to appear live action. Unless you count that awful and forgetable Supergirl movie. This isn't fan service, this is expanding your universe and introducing more comic book characters to the mainstream audience. It is the logical thing to do. Let's be real, the most important and famous DC characters are Bats and Sups and both of them have gotten their solo films and their solo film reboots, time for their "Families" and supporting characters to shine.

Robin has been featured for years in Batman movies and Tv etc. what are you talking about?

Sure, but do that in their own movies.
Make a Batman movie and introduce Robin or Nightwing or The Huntress or whatever, but do it in their own movies.
Like i said, to make a Batman/Superman movie focus on them and no one else.

Focuing a film about 2 characters is a lot to handle? I mean I don't think it is.

The cartoons do not count and although we did (sort of) get Robin nobody knows who Nightwing is.

Wow...i would really hate to see a comic book from you.
So, it's all about the action and all the rest (story, characters, characterization, drama....) goes out the window?

Hell, let's throw everyone in there.
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, JL, Teen Titans...you name it.

There's a difference between "Let's include the guy that's been by his Batman's for 75 years now" and "ALL OF THE TEEN TITANS AND JUSTICE LEAGUES AND HEY NERDS COMIC BOOKS!!!!!!!!!"

It's odd that you can't see that. Do you also have an issue with Lois Lane and Perry White being in a movie with Batman?

Odd that you haven't figured out that this isn't a Batman movie, which invalidates the all "Let's include the guy that's been by his Batman's for 75 years now".

As for Lois and Perry...well, since they are from Metropolis and not from Gotham, unless you have a really good reason that is not "fan-service", no i wouldn't have any problem with that.
But there is no real reason.....yeah, it would be pathetic.

There's a difference between 2 characters and a team. A Superman/Batman film could work well. Now having Wonder Woman, I believe, doesn't make sense and isn't a great idea. Including Nightwing does make sense. Look at who's on Batman's side. Gordon, Alfred, and Nightwing. Meanwhile Superman has Lois, Ma Kent, and Perry.

I'm just saying a simple team up between Superman and Batman can work.

How can you say there's no reason to have certain characters in a movie that doesn't exist yet? Your entire argument is pretty baseless.

We don't know a thing about the plot and you somehow assume that Nightwing and WW are going to steal focus or time from the main guys. That's not going to happen the movie is called Batman/Superman. If WW and Nightwing are featured in the film they will help the plot move on.

It's a movie with Batman in it. It has Batman in the title. Batman is central to the film's story. It's a Batman movie. It's also a Superman movie.

Yes, and Dick Grayson is one of the most important characters in Batman's "world". So it's not far-fetched to include him. I agree! :)

His name is right there in the title, his logo forms half of the film logo, Batman is the co-star. Of course it's a Batman film.

That doesn't make it not a Superman film.

His name fills more of the title than the last batman movie...

just sayin.

This isn't another Batman movie or another Superman movie.

Its the 1st Batman & Superman movie.

Its like tango and cash, two heroes of different back rounds must put aside their inherit differences to stop a bad guy.

I know its all but officially confirmed by now, but I remembered something minor about the Nightwing rumors. When Ben was first announced as the new Batman, one of Kevin Smith's podcasts on his SMODCAST site called "I Sell Comics" spoke briefly about the casting. During the conversation, Mike Zapcic who works at Smiths comic book store "The Secret Stash" mentioned how years earlier Smith brought Ben into the store, and Ben bought a Nightwing comic and had been a fan of one of the runs. I know I am reading alot into this small detail, but maybe the addition of Nightwing in the movie was a selling point for Ben. This only came to mind with all the Nightwing rumors and Kevin Smith suit frenzy.

Then why is being touted as a Man of Steel sequel?

It is a Man of Steel sequel. We don't know who will be the main character yet.

To illustrate: Terminator 2 is a sequel to Terminator 1, yet Sarah Connor is not the main character of T2.

This is the sequel to Man of Steel, and Justice League will be the sequel to Batman/Superman.

Has WB called this a sequel or the press?

They keep saying they are making another Superman movie...it just pisses me off that they call it Batman vs. Superman. To hell with all that crap. If it is a LEGIT Superman movie/sequel Superman should come first. It seems like it's a Batman reboot and less of a Superman movie

Well in all fairness the Terminator should be the main character of a Terminator movie just like if it's a Man of Steel sequel then Superman should be the main character and Batman be the secondary character
