Would You Eat Cloned Meat?

Depends on if it was more expensive than regular meat. I'm a student, you know.

Brings a whole new meaning to "all-you-can-eat".

:D

Ok but really most people won't notice the difference.

Probably not.

Thats why it doesn't how informed one is because I'm sure they would package clone meat to look like regular meat. Now I don't want a hamburger. Damn you clones.

I'd eat the sht out of a clone-burger :o

What would clone meat taste like? Thats what people need to know.

It'd probably taste just like regular meat. It's the exact same thing, that's why it's called a clone. The only way the meat would differ would be by the quality of meat they cloned and also how the animals were raised.

I'd imagine it would result in prices similar to that of regular meat now, only as a different alternative. The cheap, tough crap and cloned hot dogs would be cheapest, all the way up to filet mignon. It would simply be a different choice, like lean beef.

course i would, silly question when their are people going without food.

I wonder if a vegetarian would though...and i mean one who solely is due to the whole animl cruelty angle

*ponders*

You'd have to clone a cow/pig/whatever and then kill it. You'd not only be taking the life of an animal, you'd be giving a cow/pig/whatever life for the sole purpose of killing it for food. I would think that vegetarians would be more against cloned meat than anything.

I'm still doubtful about this but there would be no difference from clone to regular meat.

True but still seems a bit odd. I smell evil in it.

There is potentially evil in anything done for the betterment of life.

True, the whole cloned meat reminds me of futurama for some reason.

I won't be worried about that until I see "Bachelor Chow".

Thats the time to worry but I guess its not too bad they're doing something to try to help.

is still meat- the same as a normal animal so why not?

I don't see why not?
It's a clone of an animal, it's gonna taste the same, have the same texture and be identical to the original in almost every way.
It would be a great way to end hunger.

Are you kidding me?! It would be the same as eating genetically altered/steroid pumped chicken or eating genetically enhanced tortilla shells!!

Err...wait. Nevermind.

Yup, AND our reliance on other living things in order to survive. I don't think it should be understimated what kind of impact it would have on the overall mindset of mankind if we were to stop consuming other living things. Not saying it would be immediate, but you'd see it over a couple of generations. I think it might make mankind as a whole more considerate of life.
