Something I never thought I'd say:

Cody Rhodes needs an Intercontinental Championship run.

I don't think he's anywhere near main event ready yet. Not even close. But he should have a mid card title around his waist / over his shoulder.

Been waiting for Cody to get some gold. I feel he can do a bit more with the belt than Wade Barrett is right now.

big supporter of him,but his gimmick is starting to get stale, perhaps a belt might help.

He just needs the right opponent.
Someone he can mock and make fun of. Perhaps Dibiase? or Tyson Kidd?
Cody has a lot of charisma, but he needs an opponent he can have chemistry with to play off of.

Caught the Layla/Fox match and the Kharma aftermath The early portion showed what was wrong with the Divas Division, none of these girls really wrestle and none of them know how to tell a story with their bodies. It's a two minute match that just comes and goes with no chemistry, psychology or intensity. Fox put up a little offense Layla did her finsiher, won and I didn't care.

Kharma's ring presence, energy and tone were a total contrast to what we saw earlier between Layla and Fox. She made you FEEL her energy, she built a mood with her entrance and commanded the ring. I LOL'd when Fox tried to pull some pathetic offense against her. Kharma told a great story with just her facial expressions and body language. The other Divas should be watching her tapes to learn how to do this stuff.

I saw the botch and that was all Fox's fault. The girl hasn't been trained on how to take a bump.

But I will say during and after Kharma laid out Fox Layla did a great job of selling the fear. The way she scurried around the ring off the stage with trepidation and fear was great and got Kharma over as a credible threat.

I've made no secret about my disinterest in women's wrestling of any type (WWE, TNA which does it better, etc...) but this Kharma thing really has me engaged.

Like she's good enough I would buy her fighting dudes for mid-card titles.

I hope she wins the Diva's Championship and wipes her ass with it.

Probably.

The Intercontinental Championship has pretty much been wasted since I started watching again in 2008. It's pretty much pointless now.

Happy Birthday Owen

Well...even after all the backlash SD was still a great show. Sheamus/Bryan, Cara/Kidd and Orton/Christian were great matches. Cara/Kidd was short but sweet, loved the fast paced action and I'm looking forward to where the whole thing with Chavo will go. Orton/Christian was a great match for the title and even though the Captain had the belt, the crowd was really loving Orton before and after the match. This is definitely not the end but the beginning of something bigger. I can still see Christian turning.

You know, every time I see Kharma Kong she just SCREAMS Big Van Vader to me, only in female form of course.

Yes, Kharma is the female Vader. Lets just hope WWE books Kharma better than they did him.

leaving for a live event in an hour, can't wait.

I watched Smackdown and thought it was a good show. I just hope this isn't Christian's only reign.

-- The official website of the Key Arena is advertising an I Quit Match between WWE Champion John Cena and The Miz for Over the Limit. The pay-per-view event takes place May 22, 2011 in Seattle, Washington.

Other WWE Superstars advertised for the event include Randy Orton, Christian, John Morrison, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, "The All-American American" Jack Swagger, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston and "Highflying" Rey Mysterio.

-- Today would have marked as Owen Hart's 46th birthday. He died on May 23, 1999 when an equipment malfunction occurred during his entrance from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri at the Over the Edge pay-per-view event.

I will . I'm bringing the camera this time (blackberry pics didn't come out so well) . It was a new arena for me so I didn't know how strict they would be. A few minutes into it realized I was the only one without a camera.

I got this from tumblr, but it's just what you're looking for.

- Shane Helms suffered a broken ankle, a broken jaw and a broken nose as well as other fractures, and needed 200 stitches. His girlfriend, who suffered a broken neck, but apparently no spinal cord damage, is doing better today. Both are still hospitalized in Raleigh.

Some needs to edit the Kharma gif saying ''Funny post....NOT''

I've been noticing a general feeling around here that the titles have been devalued--which I largely agree with. Besides longer runs, what do you guys htink should be done to make the titles--especially the midcard belts like the US title--relevant again?

No need to get into the tag belts since we all know there has to be a goddamn tag division for those to matter.

They need to be much more careful of who they give it to. At times the title is put on someone to say ''hey this person is gonna be important now and they deserve the title'' instead of the other way around.
