KURT ANGLE-TNA CONTRACT STATUS UPDATE
by Dave Scherer @ 6:21 PM on 5/8/2011

On his Twitter account, @anglefoods1, Kurt Angle posted a number of things about how serious he was about training for the 2012 Olympics today. He also mentioned that TNA was behind him in his quest to make the team. Then, he talked about his contract status with the company saying:

"I am signing a 3 1/2 Guarantee Contract with Tna. I will be compensated Higher than Wwe. I am Proud to be in Tna. Thank You Dixie!!!"

Really questionable if Kurt's body can make it through the Olympics. His age, his injuries. Olympic athletes are normally in their 20s and 30s right? Kurt's in his 40s now.

Well, maybe Kurt's optimistic that he can influence whoever books the matches in the Olympics. ;)

I'm shocked Kurt wants to head with the Olympics with the neck injuries his head.

I can see Kurt going out for the Olympics. How well he actully does is another matter altogether

Sometimes I really want to see TNA fail so that we could get Kurt Angle back in WWE. The dude is my second favorite wrestler ever, and I want him to get some recognition that the WWE would give him if he wasn't in TNA. I don't want him to spend two years with WWE making his heath worse than it is, but I want him to spend a little bit of time in the ring building up an up and comer before being a manager or something. Maybe a feud with Sheamus since they claimed that he had the best first year in WWE history when it's clearly Kurt. Maybe a feud with Kofi. I can see him hating the guy's smile or something. lol Daniel Bryan would be obvious, but the bookers hate Bryan so I know it wouldn't happen.

i laugh at the idea that tna could offer kurt a better contract

Says you, but somewhere in the world there is a Melina getting wet at the thought of being the meat in a Batista Bros sandwich, and John Morrison is screaming out loud and throwing around furniture

for that to happen morrison would have to give a damn, about who she ****s

Kurt won't do it. He's just saying it to get attention like when he wanted to go to the Olympics in 2004 or have an MMA match against Randy Couture.

I respect what he's done in the ring and also his past with the Olympics but these seem like more overly ambitious claims that will never come to fruition. Godspeed Kurt , I hope you make it back to WWE someday.

One can only home, he'll come back to the WWE. I loved Kurt, but I really can't watch TNA.

I've been thinking the same thing recently. How awesome would it be to see Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton? Or Angle vs. Alberto Del Rio? So many potential matchups that we haven't seen before. Except for maybe him and Orton. I'm sure they fought at some point, but I can't remember it. Even so, Randy Orton is bigger than he's ever been at any point in his career, so it would make for an amazing match.

kurt is the man but I refuse to watch TNA. Everytime I see it in passing the production is on the level of a high school. The backstage shots are weird like there almost trying to convey a reality show but make the film quality look like a film. just weird. Kurt is just wasting his talent as long as he is in TNA.

If Kurt Angle was ever going to return to WWE, the time to do it was last year. In a year or two, WWE won't want him back, if they even want him back now. The guy is the OLDER version of Jeff Hardy, and that makes him a bigger liability than Jeff Hardy. In 10 years, Karen Angle will be crying out to his friends via twitter asking for an intervention.

Kurt Angle is a bigger draw than Jeff Hardy was/will ever be. So that isn't the best comparison.
