The right hand is a little over-rotated though but besides that really nice!

I like it. Reminds of the Superman comics I read in the 80's.

There is definately a classic style to your work, duder, definatly keep it up. It's not often we see people that at least try and pay attention to anatomy anymore. You look like you've got a good grip on it, though a little rough in a few spots (like the hand mentioned earlier).

well like i said.. it's just a sketch.. the angle to me looks ok... i double checked it in the mirror.. it just needs to be slightly tweaked.. and i think it's more the angle of the elbow that's more of a problem... It's a work in progress.

All this recent work has been my attempt to come back from a long hiatus from drawing. So I;m still trying to work things out and getting back into the groove. You know what they say.. you lose it if you dont use it. After about 2 yrs of not drawing I think i've definately lost something. I'll try to keep working at anatomy tho.

thanks for your advice and comments.

hehe thanks.. i was trying to combine elements from the capcom style with design elements from batman TAS especially the last episodes. I always loved how batman had the sleek droopy cape that just flowed straight to the floor. It gave a great silohette to him.

Man, cool to see some realish bodies instead of crazy extreme to the max anime freaks with gritted teeth and bad acid trip proportions, and actual, like, perspective. Very nice.

really? damn.. because ive had alot of influence from anime and manga lately and I've been trying to incorporate it into my work. lol. Guess I can't escape totally from my american influences. From the work I've seen anime and manga figures hae much more realistic proportions as opposed to american comics. But it depends on which anime you watch i guess. But I'm mainly influenced right now by the capcom style of less is more. glad you liked

yeah, I saw the influence in Superman's nose.
I meant the really cartoony stuff.

Was playing around with my wacom tablet tonite and felt like sketching. Still trying to get the hang of sketching using a tablet while looking at the screen. I think this came out ok. Im in a final fantasy VII mode after watching Advent children again. Eventually I want to be able to draw all my stuff on the computer.. but i think it'll be while before it matches my traditional work. Still getting a feel for it.

Good stuff Wush, I'd like to see these finished and inked, and perhaps a bit more lighting elements explored.
