Yeah, and it's sad because when I think of Wolverine I still hear Dodd's OG voice.
They must've been on a tight budgetApparently Studio Mir did the animation for this show.
You're so useless Jubilee!Apparently Studio Mir did the animation for this show.

Oh I know it's those versions, that's who I was talking about. Venom got sucked into a portal after fighting Carnage in season 3 and Peter left with Mademe Web to find MJ at the end of the series. So they are technically both MIA, out in the multiverse somewhere. And last I checked Spidey TAS is in the same universe as X-Men TAS. The most likely situation is, it's just an easter egg and they weren't really paying attention to what those characters were up to since they're not even the focal point of this show anyway.I think it's literally just an Easter Egg...I didn't take it to mean Tom Holland's Peter Parker is snapping photos in the X-Men '97 universe. If anything, it's this Peter Parker & Eddie Brock:

Yeah it was was originally only greenlit for 65 episodes, but I know Semper has said over the years he was actually hoping to do a 6th season and had story ideas for it. But you're right though, I don't think all of season 6 would have been multiverse stuff. Based on what Semper has said, it seems like at most it would have been the first 2 or 3 episodes of the season.Yeah, Brock doesn't make sense, but Peter might easily have come back by the time this new season starts (especially since Jean wasn't showing at the end of season five), so it's been a few months, at least. Although if we're being strict to the release schedules of each series, Spider-Man ended a year later, in 1998, so one could argue that Peter hasn't had his big multiversal adventure yet at the time of this new X-Men season.
Personally, I never thought that Peter and Madame Web were going to have to undertake very much of a quest to find Mary Jane, as I had no doubt that Web could zero-in on her location without much trouble. Although they didn't actually show us Peter finding MJ, it actually was intended as the last episode (since it was at end of the originally contracted 65 episodes), so it sort of is/isn't a cliffhanger.

It makes sense that John had extra ideas for Spider-Man, since X-Men had a last minute order for more episodes (the four-parter "Beyond Good and Evil" was the original finale), so Semper was probably prepping for the same. Sadly, Avi Arad picked a fight with the head of Fox Kids, effectively nixing the chance for Spidey to get more episodes.Yeah it was was originally only greenlit for 65 episodes, but I know Semper has said over the years he was actually hoping to do a 6th season and had story ideas for it. I was thinking they didn't want polished animation so it would look like the older cartoon. It does lookI like the animation a lot less than I thought I would, but it's still a very exciting show and a comeback.
That theme still rocksSpider Blood...Spider... Blood....Radioactive spider blood....
I honestly wasn't sure if that was Cal Dodd's voice at first.
X-Men '97's home page on Disney+ reveals that the series is rated TV-14 while the original show was TV-Y7. This suggests the reboot will be a bit more mature than the series that came before
