X-Men 3: The Last Stand (Video Game Update)

I am so behind on this stuff. I haven't played yet :p

Is there a limit on how much mutant power can be used? (i.e. XML, Spider-man games)

There is for Wolverine.

Go back and get more mutant things in other Wolverine levels if you're still having trouble.

Since you put the word "hate" in bold I guess you really don't like them huh?:D

yup... the best gameplay goes to nightcrawler....everything plays out smooth with him....wolverine is just WAY to slow:o ...iceman is a little too rough on the turns

How can i beat Lady Deathstrike? Theres a hurricane in the middle of the room and Storm is screaming for help.

Try knocking Deathstrike into the hurricane. Headbutt her, but make sure you put up your blocking, because she'll hit back. And keep doing that repeatedly until she gets picked up by the hurricane. She'll then get knocked onto the ground, and then strike her repeatedly while she's down.

And also, do enough attacks on her to go into Feral Rage. That'll help take down Deathstrike's health tremendously.

Glad i rented this and didn't buy it. I beat it in 3 hours, on Superhero mode.
WAY too short, too repetitive, and the enemies cheat (damn electro-shockers).
However, Nightcrawler was fun to play as. His way of fighting was fun, except for the repetitiveness.

Showoff! :p

X-MEN III
THE OFFICIAL GAME
MY REVIEW

MINOR SPOILERS! (Not of movie, just game.)

Better than X-Men Legends I and II? No. A different, but still good game? Yes. X-Men III The Official Game has it's good things, and it's bad things.

The game had somewhat okay graphics. Better than some Marvel games. I thought the graphics were going to be as good as this,
x-men-20060504103645777.jpg

but they weren't. This screen must have been from the Xbox 360.
The gameplay was fun. Nightcrawler and Iceman had the best levels. Wolverine was okay. Nightcrawler can teleport all over the place and you can fight very fast. He's really fun. Iceman is on a Ice Slide all the time and the levels are easy but very entertaining. You can shoot Ice Beams and Ice Balls, do a 180 turn, and you can use a Ice Shield to block things. Wolverine can do a bunch of combos. You can make your claws go in and out, heal, and when you get your Fury Meter up by fighting, then you can bounce on top of enemies and claw the crap out of them, and you're faster.
You can do levels on different difficulties. There is a easy, medium and hard mode. The higher the mode, the more Mutant Power Ups you can upgrade your character with. For example, when you choose your mode it tells how many Power Ups you will get when you beat it. Easy mode could be one Power Up, Medium could be two, and Hard could be three. It changes on different levels. You can go back to levels and do them on harder modes if you need to get more Power Ups.
The boss battles were tough but fun at the same time. Wolverine had the hardest bosses. I'm not going to spoil all of the bosses though.

I hated the way the music was in some levels. In some levels, the music would just stop and it's boring, dead silence. They could have made the music more "epic". It's better in games when there's good music in the back round while you're playing.
The levels with Wolverine are just the same thing every time. All you do is fight soldiers who can BLOCK your attacks. How can they block Wolverine's claws? That was stupid. After Wolverine is fully upgraded the soldiers aren't so hard, but before it's a pain.
The story confused me. It has NOTHING to do with X-Men III The Last Stand. The only things that have to do with it is the fact that Beast is in some of the cutscenes, and Multiple Man is in it. I guess it takes place after X2: X-Men United. So how is the dam in the lake from X2 still there? Why even call the game X-Men III when it's not based off the movie?
Why does Jason sound like a little girl? How is Deathstrike back?
Maybe I just didn't understand it when they explained in the game.

Don't even get me started on the crappy cutscenes. They're just pictures with voice-overs. They look like some cheap 1960's cartoon. The art in the pictures is good though. I don't know if they just got lazy and did that, or if they just ran out of time.

Overall, the game was okay. I liked it, I still play it, and it was fun on most parts. Rent the game, if you like it, buy it.

My score:
3/5
[Good]

im on the level where iceman has 2 defend the power plant from pyro. damn this level is pissin me off. im having fun playing this game since im half way done beating it and just got it on thursday.

I am stuck on a level where you are Ice-man has to follow all the fire raptors down a tunnel. I get to the part where you have to cool down the room. They all attack the furon things and you have to detroy them. I do them but 1/2 way through it says ive run out of time. I didnt leave any time gaps between them. is there something i am missing

I've begun just yesterday. I played...died of laughter a few times...and got stuck with Wolverine on those cursed torturing chambers. Wolverine is definitely way too slow. Three or four guys with electro-sticks and you're dead meat, no chance of defense.

im taking my time on this doing about 4 or 5 levels a day, so i can stretch it out to next week :)

I hate how they said Stryker was the one who made the Sentinels...looks like Trask has nothing to do with them....

Try blocking!

Blocking and the knock-back attack.

Also jump and press the heavy attack button.

I never block fighting these guys.I'm contantly moving.I used the heavy attacks to stun the ones with the electro-sticks and I always make sure I take them out first. If there are any that have guns or rocket launchers I take them out first.I then move on to the weaker enemies.Works every time.
In the holding pens I knock the stronger ones into the traps and fight the weaker ones with combos. So far I beat this stage on Hero.I tried on Superhero but I got owned.I plan on going back to that stage soon.

Most of the reviews that I found about the game were prety negative.

Any help on the second mission in the Ice-man Vs Pyro battle?

It's not a great game. I just wish the cut scenes were actually animated and not pictures with a few animations in the back...that really pissed me off. Seeing the animations/cut scenes in Legends 2 were just jaw dropping.

IMO, The cut scenes are like that because they ran out of time. The gameplay makes up for the cut scenes though
