Warner has developed a lot things but they haven't actully made anywhere near of what they said they would.

Why would they make a movie with a new group of characters to learn about when there were lots of more familiar characters in the other movies that never got their chance to shine?

With Wolverine getting his spinoff (I know it's a prequel) and Storm as headmaster it would be a great opportunity to send the current team (Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, maybe Jubilee, Rogue, or Angel) on their own adventures.

As for younger versions of Cyclops and Jean, I hope not because X3 should have been "their movie" and I'm not interested in seeing them portrayed as insecure children.

I'd love that, but that would be X4, not a prequel, hehe. This guy have said it is some kind of prequel, so Anna, Ben, etc, won't be in this movie.

There's actually a new comic book called 'Young X-Men' with Cyclops leading a team of younger mutants after Xavier is killed and the X-Men have disbanded or something. I haven't read it yet, but it caught my eye. I would really like to see that idea on the big screen, but this film is sounding more like a prequel of the first X-team (which could also be cool if done right).

This comic idea sounds good for a movie, specially to see Scott in a bigger role.

What I don't understand is that if this movie is a prequel about Jean, Scott , Storm, etc being younger, why they don't say this is.... you know... that!

when Batman begins was announced, it was announced like it was: Batman origin, so Fox would say the next movie is the origin of the team, not this:

For me, the article sounds like using some of the younger mutants of the school, maybe Jubilee, Syrin, Jones, etc, more new mutants, unknown by the general audience, but known in the comics (like some mutants from New x-men, and Academy X or comics like those).

Definetly, this movie won't have Anna Paquin, Ben Foster or Ellen Page, that's for sure.

And I hate it, because I wish to see them again, specially Ben and Ellen, who only had one x-men film.

Why wouldn't it? The description says they are focusing on the teen students at the institute, which Rogue, Kitty, Bobby, Peter, and now Angel, are.

It wouldn't make any sense to NOT have them.

really? there are some pretty hardcore secondary characters out there if you have an open mind..

oh i agree...my "really?" was directed at angram...you post just slipped inbetween ours lol. i hope angel and kitty come back. angel didnt get the screen time he deserved and i think its time that shadowkat had the same actress for more than one filmt:...i also would like her to BE CALLED shadowkat, not just kitty.

very true, but the "main" x:men are jean, cyclops, iceman, beast, and angel...they are (in the comics) the first core group of x:men....

thanks mr.P....i am now officially a fan of surge....i think that relationship between her and dust would be a great subplot in a young x-men movie...although some might find it too touchy of an issue.

Although, Kitty being my favorite mutie and Ellen being a top actress for me after seeing both Hard Candy and Juno, I would love to see her don the mantle of a hero again.

Hi again.

About Ben and Ellen returning for this movie.... only time will tell, but in my opinion, they will do or X4 or just a spin-off with new actors, not only with a few from the trilogy and the rest bye bye.

But of course, that's just my opinion.

ben DESERVES more time...the potential that character has is too great to leave it where it is. and i want kitty back just becuase ellen is an amazing actress. she got a raw deal in x3 as far as im concerned...to many people vying for screentime.

if they bring her back..should she have her pet dragon lockheed?
