This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]333679[/split]
http://www.herohq.com/forums/viewthread/18372/Just because I’m leaving doesn’t mean this is the end of feedback from the community, though. Within the next month, you will be receiving a survey regarding your thoughts on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, as well as your input for the next X-Men game.
Kalina on the M:UA 2 forums said:One more thing that is on its way. Yes we are planning to do a survey on what you liked / didn't like about MUA2 and what you would want for the next X-Men games. That was something that we'd initially hoped to get out before the end of the year (while I was away on vacation) but it obviously hasn't happened yet. My goal is to get this to you before the end of the month. So stay tuned for that too.
People think Silicon Knights is good? The only game that I'd call their claim to fame is Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and that was back in the PSone era. You could maybe count the remake of MGS, but the groundwork was already there.
The GameSpot review is pretty poor, with some stupid points. The graphics as executed contribute toward and work with the atmosphere of the game, from the immediate outset of the introductory video. They're not that bad, for crying out loud, and there's no unwritten rule stating that all video games to come out today need to have next-gen graphics. It's like saying old-school artists can't hang in today's comic book industry, and yet a guy like Alan Davis can still outperform new-age artists - even when the symmetry between words and art doesn't exist, but especially when it does. And then the blowholing about the X-genes, yeah. Genius reviewer.
And that's fair. To you, it's not worth $60. Not once have I screamed at everyone and anyone reading this thread to buy the game.If I'm being asked to slap down 60 dollars, I expect high quality graphics. If it is going to be on par with an HD remake, let me pay 20 dollars for it in the PSN Store.
There are exceptions, of course. Dragon Age: Origins for example has average graphics but outstanding gameplay, a great story and actually allows you to make choices that impact the game and plot.
This one seems to have neither. Thus, I will pass on it.
If you have Gamefly or a brick-and-mortar store in your area that rents games, rent it if you're interested. It's worth the rental. It's quick to pick up and pretty forgettable, but if you like beat'em up games, it's fun.
No idea. I don't think so.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is still on sale on Amazon. Buy that.
Yes. It's a futuristic/sci-fi game, and as such it's bio-technology.
What's your take on Density Control and Shadow Matter?Again the games a good romp, on a slow day/weekend......and being able to replay challenges a bit of replayability to the game...
...currently my characters are as follows:
Grant Alexander : Shadow Matter , X-Men (almost done with the game, I have the X-Men Uniform Equipped, with the different traits consisting of Iceman/Surge)
Aimi Yoshida : Density Control , Brotherhood (just started, Juggernaut themed uniform with all the traits also Juggernaut...collected all four early in the game)
Adrian Luca : Energy Projection , X-Men (just started, Emma themed uniform, no traits at the moment)
I kinda think of Star Wars: THe force unleashed when reading the fews reviews I've read...mostly the game length (too short), and repetitive gameplay were some of the same issues that plagued the SW:TFU...one plus for TFU....the game was gorgeous,
multiplayer/co-op could have helped the game out......that's what made the legends games fun...maybe the next try will be better...
