Do you guys still remember the X-men: Evolution tv show? What were your favorite episodes, likes and dislikes about the show? Why was it not renued for a 6th season? The show was preety good.

i had that pic on my desktop wallpaper for a while its awesome. I loved evo- rogue was by far the best spyke and kitty really annoyed me however i did like the kitty/ rogue rivalry- they should have made it last longer. i think the last episode was the best and the final montage was amazing.

I didnt really care for the show. It just took too damn long for the show to become interesting. You could basically throw away the entire first two seasons before anything good happened. I really hated their version of Wolverine and Sabertooth. The only thing I really liked was the focus on Rogue. I just wish she wasnt goth. Man that was lame.

Haven't really seen any episodes since it ended. Just downloaded the whole series and aboutto watch the whole thing again.

I loved Evolution's Rogue. To this day, it's the only example that you can write a kickass Rogue without giving her a secondary power like flight or strength. I was also digging the Rogue-Scott-Jean triangle. For a second there, I was almost a Rogue-Scott shipper.

Rogue was great(though I wasn't a big fan of her VA). It was cool seeing Rogue as a tough chick without her Ms. Marvel powers. I don't like how they downplayed some of villains though(Sabretooth, Omega Red,etc.) Wolverine's episodes were always the lamest and The Brotherhood was pretty pathetic. I think the show gets a little more praise than it deserves, but it was good stuff.

I didn't think it was spectacular, but I enjoyed the idea of making the X-Men kids again. There were some nice references to the comics and the animation looked pretty good.

Still doesn't compare to TAS, but hey. Nothing does.

You should be reading Carry's X-men run. So far, its been all kinds of awesome for Rogue fans.

The show was all kinds of awesome. Sadly I didn't really start watching it religiously till the last season. Before then I was only a casual watcher.

I liked the scene that had all the original x-men walking together that was cool. The episode with wolverine and Captain America was absolutely amazing. Also, when cyke goes total bad ass against the juggernaut was astounding!

Other than that.....meh.

Sometimes I wonder how the marvel cartoon universe would be if Bruce Timm put his hands in it.

I thought the best moment of the entire series was when Gambit and Rogue first met. It was such an awkwardly tender nod to their relationship in the comics, and the way it was animated really portrayed a hypnotic impact

Evolution was all kinds of greatness...

unfortunately there were some points that didn't help its cause...

the first was the toned down violence, I mean it wasn't entirely necessary to be completely that dumbed down. Sure it made for some interesting conflict at times but with characters like wolverine having nothing major to do with his claws it can get annoying.

the second was that its throw away filler eps were really pretty bad, the overall arcs of the seasons were well done though i do have to say...

they completely dropped the ball with Storm and there should have been more conflict between her methods of teaching and learning in comparison's to Wolverine's.

I love the fact they were all kids coming out of their shell, I also liked the fact this was exploited with bad guys and good guys changing sides from the brotherhood to the x-men and also having them work together at times against either the acolytes, apocalypse or the sentinels (which were totally badass).

I love the way they treated magneto in the first series and how Mystique secretly watched over things as a teacher...

they dropped the ball with sabretooth and omega red though.

x-23 was a stroke of genius but her second episode was a lil weak, I love how she took out the x-men and her relationship to wolverine, considering he never had a kitty/jubilee type relationship in the series...

I absolutely love the new recruits who cameod in most eps after the end of the second season and you could see the x family growing before your eyes, i wished they had done the same with the brotherhood though (they kinda separated out with the acolytes).

gambit was cool but the voice actor who originally did gambit in tas is in the top ten best performances ever, My big sister fell in love with gambit because of him, i can't see gambit being voiced in any other way to be fair.

Goth rogue was simply a stroke of genius, as well as original extrovert Kurt who became super cool and sociable once he was able to put to use his image inducer.

loved wolverine's second design, glad they got in out of that horrible orange costume, he looked better once he fitted in with the rest of the colour coordination of the group.

loved the glimpses of the future though, especially rogue in gambit's coat.

defining moments were was x-23 debut, the team taking down the juggernaut (rogue's ***** slap), the summer's brother taking out asteroid M, rogue's power overload, any time magneto spoke, future days summary as well as many others.

So I hear. But I was talking about Rogue with nothing but her absorption powers. The movies dropped the ball (big time). The comics dropped the ball, and even went as far as to give her Sunfire's powers. But Evolution? They had Rogue taking off her gloves, tapping Cyclops, and grabbing & throwing Blob around. The episode where she (granted, under Mesmero's mind control) rolled through the mansion one night and stole everyone's powers was genius.

Agree 100%!!! There really isn't anything I can add. Except this: Storm thing is true. But what made it worse was Spyke. He took her storylines. From being involved with the Morlocks to rescuing her. She needed to show some balls and save herself during the badly written African Storm episode.

But Spyke was just all around badness.

Btw, Magneto's awesome voice was the Black Alien Guy on Stargate SG1. Hearing him on Evo made me watch him on there.

spike's so cool he got a cameo in the last stand and gambit didn't

pwned

Did it ever go past the third season when it ended with Apocalypse being awakened?

If so is it available on DVD yet?

I hated Kitty in season one, they turned her into a valley girl. But got rid of that the rest of the show.

My fav. episode was Under Lock and Key, that was the one with the original five X-Men going against the Brotherhood.

In that pic, I can't tell Havok and Cannonball apart.

I really despised when Spike evolved and became what looked like a walking cactus

The last season had the X-Men and Magneto chasing him around, and the series finale featured the X-Men, Angel, Colossus, the New Mutants, and the Brotherhood all taking on Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen (Professor X, Magneto, Storm, and Mystique).

The biggest fault is that they made a habit of dumbing things down. And when they dumbed things down, they reeeaally dumbed things down.:o:csad:

I wish they'd explained why Rogue didn't seem to acknowledge Destiny considering she pretty raised her. And how the hell did Mystique factor into that? Did she just pose as Destiny to spend time with Rogue whenever she was free?

Wolverine was pretty lame. Storm only seemed to show up when it involved Spyke, or when they needed someone to make a wind or something.:whatever:

She did have a few great moments as an independent character though(The 2nd season finale with the Sentinel, and the follow-up season premiere).

Speaking of Sentinels, I loved how they introduced it as this terrifying weapon they were completely unprepared for.

I think Wanda was mishandled, and I didn't care for what turned out as just glorified cameos for Colossus and Pyro.

man im just started with season 3 now and the first 2 seasons were visious especially the ending around season 2

My favorite X-Men show, I was even more thrilled with it when they added Iceman as a major player, that is one thing I disliked about the 90s cartoon, Iceman is one of the team first 5 and is my favorite X-Man

Only things I dislike about this series are Kitty's manner of speech, she's annoying, and the ubber Apokalypse. I never cared for Cyclops before this show, they made him a real bad@$$ here, and they're young, no Cable, I hate Cable and Bishop

Wolverine's version here is my favorite, not the "Jean, I'm so sickly crazy about you I'm jealous of the peer you and he are in love, I don't care that you're more than 100 years younger, I lust you". Gave him better hair style (I like his signature hairstyle, but this one is better), best costume ever, and no smoke
