X-Men - Part 8

That AOR Unlimited issue with Magik was such an uncomfortable read. Between this, the Betsy Psylocke comic and Savage Land Rogue mini, I've seen enough Tim Seeley to last me a lifetime.

Marvel set to blow up the X-Men status quo and rebuild it into the wildest mutant school ever

Not sure if this is where they're going with it, but its an idea that came from the way they're describing it... the mutants should really consider Remote schooling at this point taking a page from the Covid times

Use cerebro to teach kids how to control their powers from home. Avoid having a mass of mutants in one spot that bad guys can attack. Then when they graduate, if they want to become X-Men, they can move to an actual academy.
I'm glad it's a remote school and not an actual school tbh, but it might be a nice middle ground. At least some kind of unity will be good for the line.

"Graymatter Lane isn’t just another mutant school…it’s a global nexus where mutants can learn, train, clash, and evolve."

If I understood this right, that's VERY interesting. At least it has some potential.

As a non US american, I've always wondered about the status of mutants in the world. And as multicultural the X-Men have been, they have been stricted to US. I'm not expecting a lot really, but the idea of a remote, global school, with players from around the world sounds really interesting to me. Like, I've always wondered for instance about mutant superhero teams around the world. So the idea of them possibly just touching on that, even just superficially, sounds interesting. Krakoa level of interesting. But this time instead of exploring a mutant land, exploring tge status of mutants in different continents.

IF that's where they're going.

And on another topic... Dani is getting her own solo book! That's so cute! :hearts:

Oh, and why are they mentioning in this article that Cyclops wants to ruin everything?

Honestly from Schism, which I haven’t read but heard about it, to Cyclops vs Rogue, to apparently Emma vs Cyclops... ZzzZzZzz...

Those X vs X sounds so boring. Conflicts of ideology are part of the X-Men, but they have to be good and interesting.

There should be schools all over. Should even be competition between them, kind of like the Olympics. Mutants are global.
