X-Men - Part 8

New Mutants was AMAZING today. If it wasnt for the awful Glob issues, this would be the best DoX book. Can you believe that Reis drew this book in two days? The quality is top notch. Cant say enough good things about it

Actually, he didn't. Hickman was just trolling. lol But yeah, NM is easily the best of the DoX books released thus far.

X-Force shouldn't be slept on either, as it's here where some of the most significant developments in Hickman's X-verse take place; and Percy's content has been consistently strong since day one. My one complaint--and it's a minor one--is the artwork.

Just announced a new X-factor book. Leah Williams and David Baldeon. Starring Polaris, Rachel Grey, Daken, Northstar, Eye Boy, and Prodigy. Team is to investigate mutant deaths to confirm death, not avenge deaths.

Nooooooo, not Daken.
Couldn't Xavier have just left him dead, or in whatever Limbo he was in prior to DoX?

The book I have been waiting for and this does not disappoint!

I dig that art, and the story sounds interesting, them essentially investigating whether a mutant gets a resurrection or not... I feel like a team of Prodigy, Eyeboy, and any telepath should be able to get to the bottom of just about anything, so not sure what Lorna or New Coke Wolvie are doing there, but I'm glad to see Northstar leading a team.

and I'm sorry to beat that horse, but Daken and his lazy tribal tattoos and mullet-hawk need to f*** off

Daken is... a lot. I liked him in All New Wolverine, but that's because of Taylor, not the character. And I felt like Daken could have been the "Catwoman" to Iceman's "Batman" in his solo. I like his sex appeal (i.e. that stuff with Johnny Storm) and more queer representation is appreciated, but he can fall too easily into the sex-crazed bisexual stereotype. Throw in his "pheromone" powers and we have a big mess. I'm interested in how Williams will write him, though.

Hopefully we get this version.

The third Giant Sized X-men has been announced. A Nightcrawler issue, yay!

I prefer him when he's bat**** insane.
I would die for some more father-son angst though.

All New Wolverine was the only time I read and enjoyed a Wolverine comic.

Still not Wolverine though. Logan will always be THE Wolverine.
Laura will always be X-23 no matter what.

Sorry, I just really really hate Laura.

The Vita Aylala book has been revealed.

They are touting it as a new generation of mutants, sidekicks for X-men. But, ummm, they look awfully like the first generation of chimeras...

They look cool and that's a great creative team. Hopefully they are chimeras instead of fans.

Looks like the only X-books I won't be picking up are Wolverine, Hellions, and Cable. And I could still change my mind if those first two books are well received.

I'll read anything with Gambit in it, especially if he isn't mooning over Rogue the whole time.

I'm not sure any of the established X-men are in the book.

He was on the cover, so.... But I have been fooled before. :(

Gambit in Excalibur is the worst part of that book! Issue #5 really clicked for me but Gambit is still so one-note and boring.
