I think A battle would have almost been good for them both (and the film). Think about it. Magneto is leading an entire army, while Storm is leading the X-men. Both have collided at Alcatraz (sp) as well. Since Storm's battle with Callisto sucked, this is just another alternative.

Iceman VS. Pyro
Kitty/Colosuss VS. Juggs
Wolverine VS. Jean (well, if you think about it that was his "big battle")
Storm VS. Magneto

Most of them should be getting tired of facing him, and Ororo should have been at least fed up with it and decides to battle him :yay: . Thats just my 2 cents.

that would be awesome, and leaves place for a lot of creativity beats from each character. Damn I wish I could see that in a movie.

They could both take to the skies, too, which would be an awesome scene  It'd be cool if a few X-fans could get a $100+ million budget to direct an X-film, lol.

god, this idea just makes me so sad...that could be so marvelous in so many ways...give Storm something truly outstanding to do too.

Movieverse Magneto seems limited to the control of metal though, he doesn't seem to have wider electromagnetic powers - no blasts, forcefields. So once he was up in the air he wouldn't be doing much else as the sky isn't made of metal.

They'd have to establish that he could generate electromagnetic energy bursts, force fields and warp natural electromagnetism.

Storm battled Polaris in the skies in the comics (and defeated her), and she has also battled Magneto several times.

There were some nice twists to Magneto's powers. She used a focused blizzard but the extreme cold enhanced his powers by turning him into a superconductor (look up 'superconductors' to understand what was happening!); she used lightning but he created an electrical interference field to fling it back; he warped magnetic fields within a storm she had created and drew down lightning bolts, passing them through her body and then into himself to replenish his powers - Storm was caught off guard and was being fried by the lightning he was passing through her body.

I've always been hoping for a battle of mutant elementals in the movies, but it never happened.

it didn't need more action that was fine it needed more time for the amount of characters

It shouldn't have been seperate fights it should have been teamwork and team battles.

yes, what X3 needed was team battles, but a Storm/Magneto one would have been awesome, more than any of Logan fights in the three films, but well, we all know Fox love Logan. Agggggggggggggggggggggg

I think a fight between the two wouldve been great. Magneto and Storm take to the sky, she starts up crazy ass wind and possible tornados and he he uses cars, pipes, whatever against her, that fails, so he flattens some huge peice of metal that encases around Storm or something and recites something, maybe her being clostrophobic(sp) and we see little cracks starting to open through shotting lightning and she bursts out.

Some peices could hit him Mags since he is surprised that she got out and it sends him falling but ofcourse he stops himself where he is met with cure darts and ofcourse he gets rid of those. Storm goes on to do her tidal wave on the baddies and go from there.

But thats just a rough thought of how a battle could go between them.

I think they should have just given her a more impressive fight with Callisto.

Would've rocked indeed, but movieverse Mags just doesn't have the firepower, eh.

What Storm vs Mags...? JAVON WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? That is not allowed. Storm can't possibly do anything significant on screen. It's against the rules.

Why are some of you still whining when this movie is already long gone?

There's nothing you can do to change it, so why whine?

I think the movie was amazing.

What are you talking about? Movieverse Magneto has done some amazing things onscreen. The whole, throwing cars around in X3 isn't enough firepower?

I meant magnetic fields/shields and such that could fend off, let's say, a small hurricane summoned by Storm.

I wanted a battle that wasn't so intense that it shadowed something the Phoenix would do. Just a mini battle to show how their powers have evolved off screen. Mabe Mags hurling force blasts and metal, then Storm summoning hail or rain and wind. I just think it would have been appropriate given the circumstances.

 Were you refering to me because of this thread? Just curious, I didn't wanna start something if you aren''t talking to me.

Agreed. As a Storm fan, this really pissed me off. We finally got someone that could have made a better story line (mabe just Astoryline) for her and we see no hand-to-hand combat from her what-so-ever. The fact that she used her powers to take her out made it even worse for me. But hey, I guess it wasn't that much of a surprise :o

Yeah, the whole 'frying the b****' bit didn't exactly scream 'fair fight', did it?

Edit: Well, I suppose the catfight/grudge qualify as a storyline in Fox execs' minds...

^Yeah. They put "Storm being leader of the morlocks in the comics" to shame.

I don't know, the whole 'moving faster than you can see' that Callisto does isn't exactly a fair fight either, with mutants is it ever really a fair fight?

Juggs VS. Colosuss :woot: Doesn't matter anyway, Callisto whooped her ass with her hands most of the time. Storm didn't have any hand-to-hand combat (minus the deleted scenes) like Callisto did.

Storm did punch Callisto once or twice, and then strangles her :o I can't believe they hire a coreographer to make such dull and tasteless scenes. For hand-to-hand, I thought they would have a display of agility from both characters.

Well...don't forget there is more...remember those pics and the END of Storm character spot?

I think my point was that...

Aren't righteous heroes supposed to go for fair fights if possible? :D

Let's use Cyclops as an example. WHile he does shoot people all the time, there's a reason why he's ALWAYS holding back.

Storm going berserk just seemed weird, really, considering the whole "righteous saint" angle the writers shoved down our throat for the whole flick except the few scenes she has a chance to "forgive" people.

Exactly WHAT fight sequence in the X-trilogy was awe-inspiring? :D

It's been one my gripes with the movies from day one, actually. Fight scenes in that big of a superhero movie have no business sucking, really. :(

against all odds, I love the Logan/Deathstryke brawl.
