X-Men: The Last Stand on DVD October 3

Here is an image of the Target Exclusive tin and what comes inside.

Well, you still can replace the 1-disc version with the 2-disc one and keep the tin.

i used to have that comic, the first appearence of Storm...how her eyes went black instead of white...it was one of the five comics i've ever read in my life :)

Since they shrunk the magazine to fit a DVD-sized box, it no longers deserves the title "Giant Sized".

Fox really is the worst studio when it comes to release movies and dvds.
They're so shameless about it, it's insulting.

I'm glad I didn't get the collector's edition or any for that matter. It doesn't come with any extra DVD features.

Didn't Ratner said he's releasing a 2-disc SE later on this year?

It probably won't be until next year, but yes, he did say he wanted to release a special edition. He's not going to change the cut of the movie, because he feels that the released cut IS the director's cut.

My guess is the SE will include all the documentaries the rest of the world got this year :p

PFFFT!

I'm still waiting to get it. I rent this version tomorrow.

I've been waiting 2 years for a Punisher SE and now one is finally coming out next month...lol

Edit: I'm pretty mad at Ratner, this movie could have been better.

I got the Future Shop tin thing here in Canada, which while sweet looking, can't even hold the stupid comic inside of it... and did I mention it only has 10 deleted scenes? LOL.

But it looks like a new shot of Wolverine on the inside and a pic of long hair Mystique.

Thats a very cool looking box there Psionic. I already have Giant Size X-men but i'd love those promo shots.

Question: To those who have the (Region 2) 2-disc special edition, could they please explain and describe what the galleries are like? What kind of new content is there?

There are 2 main sections: Character Stills and Concept Art, Storyboard and Models.

The Character Stills are basically what we have seen before. There is one piece of artwork from a photoshoot for each of the characters. Some are just headshots, some are full bodyshots and some are shots from the movie.

Concept Art, Storyboard and Models has 5 sections: Angel escapes from lab, The Danger Room, Golden Gate Bridge, Jean Vs. Xavier and Phoenix Vs. Wolverine. Some of them just have art, some have art and storyboards, some have models aswell.

Hope that helped. :)

The front image on the Target exlcusive tin (with Wolverine's claws tearing through) is on the back of the collector's edition, too.

Ok, this is what is on my DVD

Brotherhood side deleted scenes

1. Jimmy in Laboratory
2. Pyro tells Magneto about the cure announcement (Clean shaven version)
3. Pyro tells Magneto about the cure announcement (Bearded version)
4. Alternate Version: Guard yells at President
5. Psychic battle (voices)
6. Original version: Jean displays her power at the encampment
7. Plastic weapons manufacturing
8. Magneto tells Jean to help in the battle
9. Alternate version "Here's Juggy"
10. Magneto tortures Logan
11. Extended Dark Phoenix destruction

Alternate ending - Rogue returns

X-Men side deleted scenes

1. Xavier voice-over for main titles
2. Alternate version: Beast meets Logan
3. Extended fight sequence at Jean Grey's house
4. Alternate version: Bobby and Kitty skate
5. Plastic weapons manufacturing
6. Hank warns Trask of Magneto's plan.
7. Original version: X-Men board the X-Jet
8. Jean senses a scared little girl
9. Storm creates a wave
10. Beast breaks a neck
11. Bobby freezes Phat

Alternate ending: New school year begins
Alternate ending: Logan returns to Canada

I guess that explains why the UK dvd claims to hafve 22 deleted scenes instead of 21. One of them is repeated on both sides. If you ask me, that is blatant false advertising!

I live near Toronto, Ontario and I bought the regular X-men The Last Stand DVD whichi only came with 10 deleted scenes. Before I bought it, I saw some online such as Iceman freezing Phat but these were missing from the DVD I bought. I also saw a trilogy pack that contained 2 X-men Part 1 movies and The Last Stand so it was missing X2. The transfer on the DVD is not impressive either but the sound is fantastic. Anyways, I feel the ruined this DVD by not making it 2 discs plus all the confusion around the special features.

FOX was lazy with this DVD (at least in the USA and Canada, it seems). I heard two other people had their trilogy editions messed up too. Lordy

Thanks very much.:)
On the X2 dvd theres an unseen X2 section with loads of concept stuff that didn't make it in to film. This dvd (i haven't recieved it yet) doesn't appear to have that kind of gallery section. For example theres nothing on Gambit, Stacy X, the fight in Xavier's office etc.

Is there any way for someone to upload some of the the animatics, more specifically Angel landing at the school and him in the battle? Thanks to whomever can share it.

I noticed this too, I wasn't paying too much attention to this scene so I did wonder if they were slightly different.

Yeah, I'm GTA too and I don't think anyone in Canada has the version with 21... it's probably because ours have to be packaged separately, with le bilingue and what not.

This might be a little off topic, but I find these bilingual labels annoying, especially the one for The Last Stand. I'm printing off another because it simply looks bad. Maybe its just me being picky....

That image in the Collector's Edition is the only reason I would have bought it... I stood in Virgin for 20 minutes trying to decide. I just ended up getting the Widescreen
