X-Men The Last Stand Review

I hope it's not true. But, it just seems very...proper. However, the convienent dropping of things seen in TV spots kind of annoys me. And I'm surprised by the whole ends prematurely mark. That's a horrible thing to have in a bookend.

This film isn't even complete yet! How can there be ANY review yet? Heck, they don't have a running time and it hasn't even had its premiere yet! I say its fake.

Yeah, I don't know how legitimate of a review this is . . . it describes little except to say that the story feels rushed, it feels even more like a Wolverine movie this go around--Hugh Jackman plays a good Wolverine but with corny lines, Halle Berry has not improved, and that the action scenes are good although sometimes not quite believable :( --essentially it says that the movie is good for what it is . . . it says Beast is good, and that if there were an X4 it would be nice to see more character development and focus on the younger X-Men . . .

Way too vague.

But alot of good reviews are vague.

Either way, I don't know what I was thinking by ever entertaining the notion that this'd be anywhere NEAR as good as the Singer version of X3.

Ladies and Gents, if you think about it, the reviewer is right. Look at how this was pushed into production. The film should be terrible. At least (if the review is legit) we know the film is at least more watchable than it could've been.

Granted, that's not really great considering what we expect from this film since the first two films are very good. The franchise deserved a great film. We might just be getting a pretty good one that misses the mark because of the production schedule.

By the way, the film is finished. It has to be. They have to make international prints as well as prints for here. The film is finished.

True. True.

The film hasn't been shown to ANYONE yet! This can't be real. I could have written that based on what's already known.

Its very early on... and im not sure to believe this.

It's not early on AT ALL. Reviewrers are seeing this movie as we speak -- it's being shown. The movie is released in Sixteen days. Theatres get their copy of the film usually a week in advanced. That's NEXT Sunday.

We are not early at all. This is exactly the sort of time period you should start to expect to see legit reviews popping up.

I didn't want to spoil myself, so I only read the first paragraph and the last. But what is making so many of you worried when he gives in a thumbs up:

"This Film is not the train wreck that was predicted, and it may even worry Singer when Superman is released next month (I kid!) I think Brett Ratner should return for 4, because we might get a proper film with a decent plot/script and some decent action sequences (and perhaps more than just a sentinel head). So yes, this film gets a thumbs up, there’s been worse things with Jackman in (see Van Helsing!)."

Okay. im not sad. Its just... Im not sure who to believe...or what to believe. I've stopped caring long ago. Im seeing this film no matter what with my own eyes and ears... and I've got this feeling i'll be blown away.

There wasn't much about Magneto mentioned here. Kitty, Peter, Angel.....Hmmm.....

Yep. A select few are seeing the film now. It's being shown. Expect more to pop up.

I thought they were just getting ready to show this to test audiences and they had multiple versions still.

 WOW!!! I really hope that's fake!!!:(:down

I rather see the movie for myself and judge!!!:o

That's because he said he didn't want to spoil the thing. Of course, he's not going to mention everything that happens.

Perhaps... ill wait until a second review pops up to believe this more. That feels more logical imo.

See, I'm not willing to compromise on this film. I'm not going to judge it against the "could've been worse" standard and consider its rushed production.

Fox had an ample opportunity to make a great X-Men film that lives up to the series past and series potential. If they do not make it, this film will be a failure in my book.

I don't pay 8 dollars, nor respect writers and creators, for "their best shot." I respect competence, creativity, and a successful realization of a particular story, whatever it may be.

If you fail, you fail.

Hollywood wants to know why the BO sucks right now? Its because they use this "could've been worse" standard when they make their films....

Well . . . that's not entirely true. According to Shawn Ashmore, as noted in this thread (http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=230962), they have shown it to select groups featuring multiple versions? (to get a feel for which is better I guess?)

I agree, that was odd!!! It seems like this was like a review of the leno clip and tv spots!!!

This review seems odd to me. It just seems like he's hedging his bets either way.
