Comics X-treme x-men

With so many x-books now this has a potential to be really good or be canceled right away like the last 2009 Exiles series. I'm hoping this book explores new worlds.

It sure doesn't help that they're re-using the title of one of the worst X-serials in the history of the comics.

3 issues in and I quite like this book.

It's got great potential to tell some really interesting stories, plus it doesn't really have any ties to any other marvel books therefore hopefully little to no crossover/event potential. I'd like to see this book continue telling its own story, naturally with no interruptions.

Issue one was a necessary evil of set up, set up, set up. But with that out of the way issues 2 and 3 told a fun, contained story with just enough quirky alternaverse fun to make it interesting.

Head in a jar Xavier is a great visual as well. Lots of gags to be made with that.

Fingers crossed that this one doesn't get overshadowed by Now and cancelled before it's time.

9 more Xaviers to go!

I had no interest in this title based on the blurb I read, but this looks awesome now that I've seen this thread.

It's certainly worth a look.

It has been hit and miss in the art department so far, sometimes being quite hard to follow however the concept is strong and the series is growing with each new issue. These previews are excellent as well, looks like the team have some interesting adventures in the pipeline.

Is this part of Marvel Now!'s relaunch?

Not officially, although it started very recently, similarly to the Captain Marvel, Gambit and Hawkeye books.

Why did those books start before the official launch? New interested readers that are waiting for the relaunch aren't going to pick books that aren't in issue 1 again

Yeah, it makes little sense

Agreed, it is pretty strange. I'd put it down to them all being in the cheaper 2.99 range however I think there's a few of those in the NOW line-up as well.

Who knows how marvel make these sort of decisions. I'd hazard a guess that the .1 issue mentioned above will have a NOW logo smacked on it and advertised as the new jumping on point. Avengers Assemble #9 is being advertised in a similar way, the only difference being the change in creative team I guess.

I'm rambling now, it is very strange anyway.

Just finished #4, I'm loving the hell outta this book. Easily the 2nd best X-book after WatXM. Both will have to be my refuge once Bendis starts stinkin' up the joint.
