Isn't Singer supposed to attend the upcoming comic convention?

I wonder if what we just saw on that videoclip was a preview of things to come...

And isn't Singer and his writers team supposed to write a storyline for the Ultimate X-men?

OMG!! poor Bryan Singer, that was such a stupid out of nowhere question.

i really feel bad for the guy who gave us real X-Men movies, if anyone should have this happen to them it's Ratner (that talentless hack).

Singer creates art and even though im not a fond of Superman i thought it was much better done than X3. Hell alot of my friends where suprised that the movie was good. I know alot of ppl have been giving it good word of mouth so hopefully it will catch on. In the long run i think it will be a success, this isn't over yet .

Domestic = Figures for US only

International = Everywhere else in the world except US

Worldwide = Everywhere ie Domestic + International

me too i thought that Singer superman was very well done, it was pretty long(2:34) but worth watching it.....and I want that with X3, too bad it wasn't like that....lets wait for Singer take X4-me hopes..

People just can't grasp the fact that X3 turned out more then fine and probably far better then had Singer stuck around. The only thing that got hurt by the move was the Superman franchise. Don't get me wrong, Singer did a great job with the X-Men but the third film in the trilogy needed more intensity and action and Ratner delivered that in spades. Singer specializes in pure characterization and story. Thanks to his efforts, the X-Men were set up perfectly for Last Stand. Ratner took Singer's pass and just slammed it home.

Look at SR, no one can tell me that $210 million made it on to the screen for that limited action. Singer just doesn't get action. He obviously misjudged his vision for Superman as well. Why he thought a bloated rehash movie would be compelling is beyond me. SR and X3 are getting exactly what they deserve at the box office. X3 is a fresh, intense and dazzling film. SR is a dressed up rehash with a poor plot and poor antagonist. Them's da facts...

Nah, I can tell you right now that Singer would've done a better job. X3 badly needed character development. And I guess you didn't see the whole of Superman Returns, as there was a good amount of action in it.

This movie was good, but would have been far better had Singer been behind the camera.

You do know after 3 movies.. some characters don't need that much let alone any development right? its not like this movie was the first one.. we already know over half the people in this movie.. and those we didnt know much about (aside from scott) we learned about more in this one (beast, iceman, storm, kitty, jean, angel) these characters all had great development i thought

Beast and Angel needed more character development, especially Angel. Angel was hardly in the film, we aren't given time to feel for his character. It felt like they threw him in the film just to get the cure in the film.

Well, I saw "Pirates" again tonight...and it's actually so much better the 2nd time it felt like a totally different movie.

But to my surprise, X3 is still playing at the theater I went to. It's down to 3 shows a day, the last one at 12:30am. Not sure I want to know who's showing up for that show...but hey's it's still going!

Yeah characters might have been developed different... but SR clearly shows us that Singer is lacking in the ACTION dvelopment. I still liked the job Spacey did with luthor...but he sure isnt in the same league as McKellan. I saw the movie and Spiderman 3 had more action in the one minute trailer then the entire 3 hours(felt like 3) of SR.

Beast and Angel needed more character development, especially Angel. Angel was hardly in the film, we aren't given time to feel for his character. It felt like they threw him in the film just to get the cure in the film.

ok imo angel had the most heart felt scenes... i nearly got teary eyed in 2 of them... his role was very symbolic and hit home for me in many ways

Angel being the reason the school stayed open was not needed & was there just to give him something to do. I actually found it weird how Logan was a supporter of closing down the school & then his little speech was about not letting what Professor & Scott fought for go to waste yet he was a supporter of closing down the school first chance they got It is like the characters did not know what to think in this movie That speech Logan did before the final battle would have made more sense had he agreed with Ice Man from the get go about not closing the school. Closing the school would be something the Professor would NEVER WANT DONE

Correct. Colossus got 1 line. Angel 3 scenes. Phoenix's part amounted to nearly nothing. Regardless of the amount of Character Development that went on in X1&2, elements new to the series prompted further exploration. Like why the hell would ProfX say that Jean felt like she was left behind at the end of X2 in such a way as to allude to he believing it himself? Especially after the role he had in suppressing her abilities?

Please don't forget that Ratner had a very short amount of time in order to complete this film. If Singer was handed this film with the same amount of time that Ratner had, I don't believe he would have delivered a better film.

I agree, there was very little story development to most of the characters, however "the cure" storyline meant more to me than the premise behind X1 or X2. (Any oppressed group can relate to an 'eradication of who they are' in the name of 'helping' them out). X3 should have just focused on "the cure" and left Jean out for X4.

In reference to the 1-liners or lack of screen time, Singer did the same thing in X1 (Mystique's one line) and X2 (Lady Deathstrike's one line). Singer's X-Men focused too much on Wolverine and didn't really explore other characters to their greatest potential. Those who see X3 complain about the lack of connection between Professor X and Juggernaut in the film, however Singer did the same with Mystique and Nightcrawler. And where was Cyclops in X2? - that role was also very reduced.

The X-Film universe is cluttered with to many characters (just like the comics), however I rather see characters appear than never show up. I enjoyed X3 tremendously. It wasn't the best film, but it was really good for the time period that Ratner was given.

If Ratner had more time, this movie would have been amazing.
