Beast vs.
Sabretooth: Yep, Hank's got cunning. Were this fight around gadgets or gymnastic equipment, I might even consider Hank. But even given Hank's physical bonuses, Creed has them too. And Creed has claws. And a killer instinct. And a healing factor. Sorry, Beast, but you're going to be missing entrails.
Havok vs. Madrox the Multiple Man: Madrox can't swarm anyone without kinetic impact to create his dupes. Havok's not going to be stupid enough to punch him. Madrox would have to hit himself, and before he could crank out more than two or three dupes, Havok will have cooked him. Posters should read about the mutant powers.
Lifeguard vs.
Angel: Boo for Lifeguard! On second thought, I'm going to say that Angel would smack her around before Lifeguard's silly powers had a chance to work.
Bishop vs. Boom Boom: Meltdown's powers are based on explosive energy globules. Bishop absorbs energy. It'd still knock him around, but he'll be able to shoot her down.
Rogue(Sunfire Powers) vs.
Magma: Despite her chronic name changing, Magma can do a whole lot more stuff than make earthquakes. Yep. Rogue can fly. And if she picks Magma up, Magma can turn into her energized form and burn Rogue. She'll also absorb Rogue's fireballthings. But Magma can shoot them back, while also causing lava to erupt from the earth and other flame-type things.
Pete Wisdom vs.
Colossus: Seen it before or not, I doubt Piotr was actually trying, on basis that if he ever hit Pete, Pete would crumble. Pete's hot knives are going to do some harm, assuming they can pierce Colossus's steel/osmium/whatever skin, but as soon as Colossus hits Pete, a whole lot of bones are going to break.
Dazzler vs.
Siryn: Dazzler has to absorb sound in order to convert it into light projectiles. She doesn't just change existing sound. Even if Siryn didn't want to shoot a direct vocal energy blast thingy, she's served as leader of X-Force and has more tactical sense, probably, than ol' Dazzlywonder. I say Siryn uses her powers in more inventive ways, say to make Dazzler start going crazy, then makes her head explode with a good sonic scream.
Wolverine vs.
Iceman: I'm willing to bet that were Bobby staring at an angry Wolvie, he'd start pushing himself real hard. Even if he doesn't, he can still freeze Wolvie in place faster than Wolvie can break out of the ice bindings, and eventually we'll have a Wolverine-sicle.
Polaris vs Husk: Psycho-lady vs. She-Whose-Cradle-Was-Robbed! Oh boy! Hit her in the head, Lorna. Many times.
Marvel Girl vs.
Psylocke: If only I could bring myself to care. @_@ I'm just going with the other two on this one. But also, remember that Psylocke's the one who's gone up against Sabretooth. Rachel goes down.
Nightcrawler vs.
Gambit: So long as Gambit isn't being written by Milligan...
Kurt's got his talents, definitely, but Remy's damn maneuverable and talented himself. I'm not willing to entertain the
deus ex machina (read: crap) that is Nightcrawler teleporting someone's head off (hey, he could even do that to STORM), and so: Nightcrawler's teleporting will eventually wear him down, whereas Gambit using his powers won't. Without using them, the fight will probably be a stalemate. And if using weapons, Gambit could always charge/explode his staff, or Kurt's sword. I like Remy winning this one.
Cannonball vs.
Sunspot: Talk about two wrecking balls. Lordy, Exploder, this is a heck of a match. And for the record, above and future posters, Sunspot is not limited to absorbing sunlight. He absorbs other sources of heat and light as well - and Cannonball's power projects both of them. Two powerhouses, and both with a ton of resilience, but I say that 'Berto's raw power wins out here - and if that's not the case, he has concussive projectiles. Plus, he can fly easier than Sam can maneuver.
Karma vs.
Emma Frost: Diamond form, shows Karma what hurt is. Besides that, isn't/wasn't Karma teaching at the school? Maybe I'm mixing that up, but if she was, then Emma probably has a very, very good knowledge of her.
M vs. Domino: I <3 Domino, but her little bit of luck isn't going to help against M. M's got a whole bunch of tricks to thwart Domino with, and meanwhile Dom's pot-shots aren't going to do much.
Marrow vs.
Wolfsbane: Marrow might be brutal and crazy and whatever else, but outside of strapping C4 to her and going out in a blaze of fury, I don't see her taking down Rahne. Marrow throws a bone, Rahne catches some random part of Marrow. Rahne's far more feral, and if she goes into a frenzy, I'm willing to bet she'd eat all 90 of Marrow's hearts.
Thunderbird(Neal Shaara) vs.
Cyclops: They both have projectile energy powers. Cyclops has more experience. Experience wins this one, and Cyclops takes him down fast.
