    Daniel Craig’s credentials as the new James Bond have taken another knock — after it was discovered he is a duffer at poker - reports The Sun.

    Accoring to the paper, an expert had to be flown abroad to teach him the game — even though the gambling scene is crucial to latest movie Casino Royale.

    British card player John Duthie, who has made £1.5million from poker, was jetted to a Berlin hotel to coach Craig.

    An "insider" said: “Daniel could not play cards — it was so funny. It is a critical part of the film, where Bond shows how cool a customer he is.

    But it was frustratingly ridiculous how long it took to teach the cast how to play or behave at a poker table.

    “Everyone at the hotel has been laughing about a Bond who can’t play cards.”

    In the casino scene, 007 has to wipe out the arch villain’s fortune by bluffing him at the poker table. The movie is out in November.

    Well they're actors. They're not all professionals in everything they need to do. Does Pierce Brosnan really know how to drive like Bond? Did Matt Damon know Kali before he did The Bourne Identity? No. They are taught that. Why should poker be any different?

    the media is really starting to **** me off!!! All they want to do is pick on Craig... leave the man alone.. he's gonna be a fine Bond... all this crap started with one media outlet stating something false about Craig and CR.. next thing.. its like a game to them.. just watch Craig will blow all of us out of the water.. i have high expectations for him.. and I know he will pull them off.. if I read one more bad thing about him.. I swear I am gonna go all crazyass on the media... i'll give them a story to cover.. I tell ya that:mad:

    If anybody should feel ashamed its the idiots who actually report these meaningless "reports". Craig didn't know how to play poker?? Who gives a crap? Do people honestly care? Its clear the media don't even know what an actor means anymore. I blame reality tv and of course the fundimental stupidity of man in general.

    All this bad buzz makes me think that even if it is a genuinely good film, the british media will highlight the flaws and this flick is doomed

    First he could not drive stick
    Then he got his teeth knocked out
    Now he can't paly poker

    Nah the British media are hypocrites! Always do it, they slag off the national football team and the top players (I see they've moved on too Rooney now) but as soon as a big event comes out you get the posters with "Support the lads" written all over it!

    Come November The Sun will write about how Craig was simply awesome, wether he was or not!
