Work like this is protected by the First Amendment. Jerry Falwell tried to fight a drawing of him having sex with his mother, but it was protected.
If this goes to court, Ubisoft is losing.
Precedent FTW!!!

So instead of having a Project Lead or a Studio Lead talk about the game (which is typically done and makes more sense) they have a producer who is barely in touch with the team presenting the game. Why? What makes her more qualified?Well John whatshisname made outlandish comments in defense of his terrible game and released a terrible game.
A lot of times girls will do nothing to 'parade' around, but guys being guys, with guy brains, will view it as such.
Eitherway, it was low of someone to make a porn comic of her, I don't really see her as having done anything wrong, but at the same time, it's wrong of Ubisoft to threaten a lawsuit (let's ignore for a moment that they can't win).
I mean lets be honest, the video game industry is predominantly male. So some good looking producer dude isn't exactly going to turn heads. But at the same time, you have known and outspoken producers like Cliff B, or David Jaffe. Now sure, relative to demographics, Jade Rymond is a lot more appealing then they are but she never shouted her mouth off or said controversial things to result in her attention. She's just charismatic and pretty, she really shouldn't have to dress herself down, and as long as she's not dressing herself up more than any other female professional would in a similar situation, than there should be no issue. But you guys look at her and thing 'ooo pretty' and then the cynics say it was all about her. Sure she got more photos taken, but she wasn't any more active than any other producer in doing their role, and if you read her interviews, she sounds like she's a very good producer. Not speaking to anyone in this thread, but just relative to some comments I've heard.
So now it's okay to attempt to humiliate her because of sexism within the studio, rather than the sexism from people who made the comic. Great. It's sexism towards a professional woman who was doing what her bosses instructed her to. Yeah, they probably did play up the fact that she was pretty, and maybe they would have had a more qualified member of the development out promoting the game if she wasn't. But IMO that is not an excuse to take her likeness and make a blatantly sexist and sexually degrading comic out of her. I obviously believe in freedom of speech, but I think that with it there needs to come some responsibility, just like the right to bear arms. Just because I should be allowed to own a gun doesn't mean I'm not a jerk if I go around shooting people with it.
1. It's a satire about how they're using her to sell the game.
2. If a person who makes web-comics wants to express his thoughts on it, he has that right.
I'm not sure what the legality is on manips. There wasn't just a comic.

They used her "attractive female" image. Everybody knows it. Petri was barely interviewed on the game at all.
