I do believe Gwen died of a phenomenon known as death.

It is very rare and un-treatable.

People like you are the reason why threads get closed.

The web stretched when it caught her and her body stretched long enough to hit the ground and hit her head, giving her head trauma and the nosebleed that is evident.

I've only seen the film once and it was a few weeks ago now. From how I remember it, I thought the web caused a recoil motion which snapped Gwen's neck and allowed it to hit the ground. In terms of sound effects in a comic, it would have been "snap" then "bang". I need to see it again though admittedly. The only I thing I can remember with certainty was that it was ambiguous.

I'm surprised Spidey couldn't save her. I'd have thought it would've been a snap for him, but no. What a pain in the neck...

It was obvious to me and the entire theater I saw it with that she hit her head. His web caught her with just enough slack for her to make contact with the ground. Think of it as bungee jumping where you overestimate the length of cord needed.

When her head hit the floor it was fast enough and sudden enough that her brain moved inside her skull = Insta-Death.
:'(

Everyone in my Showing walked out red-eyed and sniffling...

Same as mine. Even me. Gone is gone. It was done well. They say parents are keeping there kids fro it once they hear how real it was and emotional. I like how they are making all these comic books heros come to life! Never been done before until the last 10 years.

It's closer to 15 years now.

We've already got plenty of Gwen threads around here, discussing all this same stuff.
