I don't understand why this story about Austin holding a grudge against Owen is a getting so much talk online. It's always came off that way.

A user on another forum has made an excellent post that summarizes all the challenges currently facing WWE:

To be clear, I do NOT agree with his ultimate conclusion that WWE will be gone within five years. I think Vince is too stubborn, and if TNA can somehow continue existing then WWE will find a way to do so also.

But his specific reasoning about their revenues, their talent relations, the rise of alternative promotions, the falling TV ratings? I think they're all on point.

FYI, my avatar is also in honor of Vartha because I know for a fact that he would have loved the movie Thor Ragnarok.

In fact, he probably would have given the movie a:

God rest Owen's soul but seriously... can anyone blame Austin for holding a grudge? There was really no excuse in doing that piledriver the way he did it. He ****ed up there.

Havent read if completely yet, but there are some good points in there.

I think 50/50 booking, throwing out a ton of momentum in feuds by giving them 5-6 matches BEFORE a PPV against each other, not listening to the general audience, not going with the flow and momentum wrestlers build...those are some of the biggest problems in the wwe.

In my opinion i always also thought that those many live events etc hurt the product and the wrestlers.
A big risk in those constant live events is that you strain the wrestlers too much...they have a extremely stressfull schedule and almost no time to let their bodys recover.

Doing 5 shows a week, traveling for hours, getting barely any sleep or time to cool off their bodies...this is not healthy and to prevent injuries they have to wrestle a very predictable and tame wrestling style.

Yeah, i still cringe everytime i come across the clip in compilations etc...i always try to shield my eyes because the thing looks so ****ed up.
This is not the Hart/Goldberg situation where one had "just" a concussion and was stupid enough to get back into the ring right away.

Yeah, but my thing is that his ex-wife has a book out and people are acting like stuff regarding Owen is hot news. It's just weird.

So Cyborg called out Becky Lynch and Jon Jones called out Brock Lesnar....neither of which is a good idea.

I think its only a matter of time before Alexa Bliss is turned babyface.

Kevin Kelly and Don Callis kick all kinds of ass on commentary. I just wanted to say that.

I thought the Austin/McMahon feud had some good matches, actually. Rock vs. Austin at Mania 15. Austin vs. Dude Love at Over the Edge 98. The St. Valentines Day Massacre cage match.
Triple H vs Vince was pretty good when Steph turned heel.
