You cant use a single actor associated with any Batman film, no Keaton, no Nicholson, No Gough. Who would you cast (The characters must remain the same, still gotta have Bob the Goon, Grissom) Feel free to do the other films in the series, and remember the actors must be of there time.

Willem Dafoe for Joker. But a different Batman other than Keaton...

Well since the characters would have to remain the same, I suppose I would go with Robin Williams as The Joker. Since in the storyline he would have to be older than that of Bruce Wayne. And i think Williams would have the potential to be good. As I enjoyed his villain performances in Insomnia, and One Hour Photo. With Batman.... I have no idea right now. Tough to get Keaton out of one's mind.

I agree with Dafoe as Joker as for Batman..

Keifer Sutherland (I always thought he'd be interesting even still)
Charlie Sheen

Sorry forgot to add others to the list....

Joker-Jeff Goldblum
Gordon-John Mahoney

Dafoe as Joker?

I don't see it.

Circa '89 ............................. Alec Baldwin for Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Gaz

Robin Williams - Joker
Kurt Russel - Bruce Wayne/Batman
James Woods - Grissom
De Niro - Gordon

If you cant see Dafoe as Joker then your blind. A much better choice even to this day then Heath Ledger.

Baldwin as Bats is a good idea too (and still)

I threw on Young Guns while I was studying and thought of another person to add to my Alfred list...

Terrance Stamp.

:)

And just to beat everyone to it.....

"Come son of Wayne...kneel before AL!"

Jessica Tandy as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Wilford Brimley as The Joker
Rip Taylor as Bob the goon
Richard Simmons as Harvey Den- *gets conked over the head with a giant mallet, then is handed a list to read off of*

Oh, right.

Alec Baldwin as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Geena Davis as Vicki Vale
Robin Williams as The Joker
Alan Alda as Commissioner Gordon
Ed Asner as Grissom
Axl Rose as Bob the goon
Vincent Price as Alfred
Harrison Ford as Harvey Dent

Probably a really funky list, but these are just folks I came up with off the top of my head. If this were back then and I were seriously involved in the casting of the movie, I'd spend a lot more time thinking about it. :oldrazz:

One thing that was rumored, that I would have liked to have seen in the 1989 Batman movie, was Adam West as Thomas Wayne.

Brimley as Gordon sounds good.
Yeah, I was thinking about that myself and couldn't decide between him and Alda, so I just joked about him being The Joker. The other folks I joked about are just there for the heck of it, though. :oldrazz:
Axl Rose as Bob
I was kinda iffy about that, since I don't even know if Axl can act. It was more about the look than anything. I just couldn't think of anyone that really fit. I almost said Jon Bon Jovi, but didn't know if that would work either. There just wasn't much that popped into my head when it came to Bob, but I guess I see ol' Bob as rock star-ish, since rock stars are all I could think of to fill in his part.

I would have liked to have seen that as well. Hell, I would have liked to have seen any of the Batman movies give him at least a cameo role. He deserves it. One of the things I loved about Batman:TAS was the Gray Ghost episode where they had him provide his voice for one of Batman's role models. It was an awesome tribute to him. I hope Nolan gives him a cameo in one of his films. West is getting pretty old, so if they're going to do something like that, they need to do it soon.
