TNA is on life support according to Dave Meltzer. May not last the week.

Supposedly, Friday is the last day for Corgan to make his decision on buying the company otherwise WWE is going to do it.

Biased reporting though since Meltzer hates TNA.

Dolph needs a gun permit if hes gonna shoot that much.

This Kurt Hawkins thing is gonna fail so hard.

I have to take back what I said last week about Raw being better than Smackdown, that's just not the case.

I am watching SD right now. The Orton/Bray crap is hilarious. :funny:

My only complaint about the show, is the Nikki/Carmella stuff. I do like that they're at least trying to put over a newer talent, but this is getting kind of repetitious now. I tend to find feuds that are completely one-sided to be boring in-general. It gets tedious after awhile because it's the same thing week after week after week. And so far, it's been Carmella constantly beating Nikki, or beating down Nikki, or humiliating her, etc, and Nikki not getting any kind of retribution (or even really trying to all that hard). She doesn't need to lose EVERY week. It also doesn't help that, imo, Nikki is better than Carmella in pretty much every way right now (which TBF is also down to Carmella's inexperience in many ways).

I'm hoping that they're building to Nikki getting retribution. Perhaps that rumored No-DQ match, where Nikki really gets to lay into Carmella in a major way.

But besides that, it was a great show overall.

I am not a fan of 50-50 booking for the most part. It becomes too obvious imo.

Lawyered.

Foley is clearly just toeing the company line due to his reality show, and his daughter. Also in regards to the Nikki/Carmella thing, I don't want it to be 50/50 booking either. But you don't have to do that, just don't have her lose every freaking week. There's nothing wrong with letting her look strong every so often, especially against an inferior opponent.

TJ Perkins theme is Dr. Wily's theme from Mega Man 2. He is Mega Manik!

The theme that jumps out at me about Smackdown each week is "doing more with less." Smackdown's roster isn't massive. Watching Talking Smack, you can see that the same guests are starting to reappear as there aren't all that many wrestlers to cycle through. And after this cycle of feuds currently going is complete we might start to feel the lack of depth more painfully unless they can bring in more NXT talent.

But man, they really do get the absolute most out of what they have. It feels like every segment matters, and they already have more momentum for No Mercy than Clash of Champions did (even with a stronger card on paper) by the Raw go-home show. And it helps they frequently have top drawer matches given time. It feels like a show with no flab, laser focused, and entertaining too. Smackdown does more with 2 hours than Raw does with 3.

And as another point, the titles are presented as IMPORTANT. I love Kevin Owens as Universal Champion, but even that belt seems to be taking a backseat to the more prestigious accolade of "who does Triple H love more?" Meanwhile, over on Smackdown, not only is the World Title presented as a big deal, but you have Dolph Ziggler putting his career on the line for a shot at the Intercontinental Title, and you have Becky Lynch cutting a fiery promo on Talking Smack saying the Smackdown Women's Title is her life. It all matters.

Also, last week I talked about Dean Ambrose hitting John Cena with some hard truth bombs on Talking Smack, but John Cena this week totally blew him away with his response. Utter burial. Even as someone swayed by Ambrose's passion last week, it's hard not to view him as just a piece of crap after Cena's decimation last night. That was not just one of Cena's best promos, but one of the ultimate definitions of his character. Almost a shame it was on Talking Smack rather than the live show.

What was ziggler's shoot about?

How his career has been all about failure. Getting close but never really there. How wrestling is all he has. It actually sounded like he was getting choked up saying it to.

As Keyser Soze said, it made the IC title really mean something!

Miz and Ziggler are buddies in real life which probably makes it easier to shoot hard on each other.

Ziggler has to win. There needs to be a pay off to his losing streak storyline.
