Young X-Men

Oh.

Anyway, I guess the Dodsons are now officially done with DC.

I don't know who all of those characters are. I recognize Rockslide, Dust, I think maybe Surge, and that werewolf kid who hasn't done much of anything for a long time. Who are the others and what the hell happened to the rest of the New X-Men?

Also, I'm a little worried about their stated purpose in the back of X-Men #207. Hunting down and "eliminating" Brotherhood of Evil Mutants members? Is Scott going all militant, all the time now? Is he gonna be the new Malcolm X to Professor X's MLK Jr. whenever Professor X manages to fix his head?

I don't know, but I'm not interested at all in picking this book up. I don't care about the characters and the premise sounds like X-Force-lite.

"Except Cable, 'cause I was just testing him to see if he would hand over the kid. He's okay now. Give him back his baby and send him on his way."

I'm surprised he gave in like that. And was he...kneeling...before Scott?

Well, he did just get shot in the back like, maybe a day or two ago comic time. Maybe he popped a stitch?

Also, whose the bald dik with the tats? Professor X from an alternate future where he became a skin head instead?

I thought maybe be crouching just to get as close to the ground as he could to avoid gunfire and whatever else was flying through the air. He had a baby, after all.

Haha, that's one of the dudes I'm confusd about too.

Who are any of them? I recognize Rockslide and Dust. That's it.

The werewolf kid is Wolf Cub. He hung around the mansion during some of Austen's Uncanny X-Men run. I think he went berserk and tore Morph apart in a crossover with the Exiles.

His Wiki says that Blindfold is another one of them. The others must be new characters.

How can they have new characters? No more mutants remember?

Yeah, I don't get that. Did Blindfold suddenly grow eyes, 'cause the only one who looks like her on that cover is that far-too-active girl with goggles.

It's funny that in every incarnation of this book, be it New Mutants, Academy X, New X-Men and now this, I've never felt compelled to pick it up.

I don't think it sounds particularly good either. I'm not sure whether I'll pick it up.

I'm more interested in Scott's part in it than anything else. Is this actually another facet of a major character shift where Scott abandons Xavier's dream because "it died with him" and goes more militant?
