Your absolute fave Batman fig.

Mine would be my Batman and Son Joker. Though i didnt like the story in the Comics, this Joker rules!

(Complete with Crowbar, to joyfully re-inact the death of Jason Todd! :hq: )

Kubert and Lee are very comparable artists, but Kubert's Joker is definitely the winner.

I agree completely. Although i do like Lee's Joker, it is a little demonic looking compared to Kuberts, which is much more of what you expect of the Clown Prince Of Crime.

New guy here... :hyper:

My absolute favorite would be my Takara Batman. Why? True to the movie, awesome articulation, tons of accessories, unlimited poses, very lifelike, nothing that hasn't been said before. I know Takara will be coming out with a better one for sure, but for now among all my 300 or so toys, my Takara Batman takes the cake...

Hope they come out with a Brandon Routh Superman too, even a Christopher Reeve one. The Medicom and HotToys versions were (or are) really badly made.

Its the new Premium Format Batman. He's huge...like 18" or something

I like that museum quality Batman too, our local comic shop has one for $325, but since it just stands there and does nothing, I opted for the Takara instead. But I'd get it too, if I had the extra...

Those are pretty cool! Very resemblant to Bale! And welcome to the SHH boards, jocal!

Thanks for the welcome, Mr. E. Nygma, I've been lurking for so long but didn't have that much to share then. Even with my 300 or so Batman-Supeman-JLA-Spiderman figures, statues and cars, I didn't think I 'd have something to share :yay:

i really like the takara batman fig, but that's a bit too much for something that's just going to sit on a shelf imo. the action cape or whatever it was called from bb was cool though

:ninja:

I thought it was cool too, really thought it was the "ultimate", till I got this, and it's not just sitting on the shelf... click on the link and scroll down...

Compare Action Cape Batman to the Takara Batman, no contest...

Where did you get the two right most batman figures? I don't think I've seen those before.

They came out about 2003. I forgot the names but they're Mattel-made. The black one came out first, with hand held accessories and a retractable batrope that comes out from the utility belt (you can see it on his right side, with the yellow hook), and a base. Originally cost about $20-25 then. The blue one was labelled "Classic", IIRC. Both are large versions of the Batman line sculpted by the 4 Horsemen.

perhaps, but $20 vs $300, action cape wins everytime...

That's what I thought so or thought of too, before, but having the Takara, I wouldn't think of just the price difference, the Takara still takes the cake, worth every cent. After all, we are after something that'll really satisfy in the long run... I wouldn't (and didn't) dare buy the Medicom and HotToys. If those two were the only choices, I'd stay with the Action Cape... I'm very much into details, and the Takara is like actually owning a small Christian Bale LOL.

Besides, the re-issue coming out soon is just $170... If you pre-order, you don't have to spend as much as I did, and I saved up for a year to be ready just in case one comes along, and one did...

even so, i can think of many better ways to spend $170, wish i had one, but like i said, mine would end up just sitting on a shelf so it's a little too rich for my blood

That's alright. You can save up if you want to get one, like I did, not rich but I figured it's a good addition to my collection, if not investment. And since it's right on my computer table, the last thing it's doing is sitting! :woot:

If HotToys would make perfect the proportion of its Superman, wouldn't it be great to have these two together?

Now THAT would be The World's Finest!!!

Or, paging the makers of Takara, make the ultimate Superman!!!

Just recently, I've been shopping around for a good Batman figure. I've ended up with two (not including the animated series/batman returns figs from when I was a little kid). I got the DKR batman, which I like a lot, just because I'm a huge fan of the book. I also just bought the Batman and Son Batman which I love. It's probably my favorite batman figure right now.

I think the most amazing Batman figure i`ve seen is the Mignola one.
