Mine is a Frank Miller movie about the vegeta through frieza.Thats would BLOW MINDS!!

That would be interesting. xD

I don't get wat this thread is about/asking?

I think he means "In what style would you like a live action movie of DB to be done?"

For me I always thought that dragonball was always worthy of a Lord of the Rings-esk epic-ness kind of movie. Massive landscape shots with a plot that touches the heart. More and more people are warming to the idea of enjoying an unrealistic stories if they are grand in scale and look just as good, Dragon Ball could have be a hit if done this way. There would have been nothing wrong with casting a much younger actor to play Goku as he was in the near beginning, think Harry Potter's age in the first movie, go out and find another young prodigy actor to curse them for the rest of there acting career, as long as we get our Dragon Ball :cmad:*shakes fist angrily*

I say wachowskis would workd wonders witht his movie

shouldnt this be in non-spoilers section?

Yeah but you're all subscribed now, and it'll appear on your user cp you'll post and increase traffic there :hehe:

In other words, moving :o

if i could put a DB movie together with no time or financial restrictions. here's what it would be like...

Distributor: Universal, Disney, or Sony
Produced by: Wachowski's (Matrix Trilogy) and Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle)
Directed by: Brad Bird (the Incredibles)
Written by: Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo)

Premise and Treatment: the movie's structure would be very similar to Superman (1978), except it wouldn't start on Goku's home planet of Vegeta. in fact, Goku's alien origins would be kept secret until the very end. there would be changes made, but they would only be made to ENFORCE Toriyama's ideas instead of shying away from them (like the current movie). instead of 'Dragon World' or 'Dragon Earth', the world would be known as Ariath (based on 'Aries' which basically is the Western astrological equivalent to the year of the Dragon) and would be pronounced "AW-ree-ath". Ariath would be a world full of cultures and creatures vastly different from our own. there would only be a few cities, but those cities would be booming metropolises with technology that far surpasses our own. Ariath would be a world were space travel and intergalactic relations are on the brink of becoming a regularity. it wouldn't be uncommon to see aliens and strange beings talking to 'oomans' (Ariathling humans).

the movie would start off with Grandpa Gohan stumbling across Goku (wandering around aimlessly) in the woods on his way to a small village near his house. trying to befriend Goku, Gohan would give the orphaned boy some snacks and Goku would instantly eat them. Goku would still be hungry and demand more food and he would start attacking Gohan for not having anymore. Gohan would then have no choice but to use some sort of special move (not the kamehameha) to knock Goku unconscious (causing his amnesia). Gohan would then take the boy and claim him as his own. we would then see a montage of Gohan raising the boy and teaching him the ways of the natural world....along with martial arts. every now and then they would visit a nearby small village for food and essentials. he would also have a few friends in the village (explaining how Goku can get along so easily with other people despite being a recluse), one of who is a monk pupil with no nose.

Gohan would continue to raise Goku, but he would also notice how fast and strong he has grown in such a short time. eventually, Gohan would die from natural causes, but not before bestowing Goku with an orange ball of glass with 4 stars trapped inside saying "as long as this remains with you, then so shall i." mourning the loss of his 'grandpa', Goku decides that there's nothing left for him there so he decides to explore the world beyond what he's familiar with. his adventure is delayed when he mistakes a car for an animal and tries to kill it for dinner. the driver of the car turns out to be a prissy, but nerdy blue-haired, teenage girl named Bulma and she's looking for the Dragon Balls. later on, she tries to explain how Dragon Balls and the world works (saying that she doesn't know what she would wish for, but maybe an honest, loyal boyfriend) over a nice camp fire, but Goku is too busy chowing down on his monster fish to pay attention. Bulma then stops chattering when she sees a pillar of smoke in the distance, coming from the village that Goku and Gohan often visited.

they rush to the scene, but it's too late since most of the town's people have died. Goku's nose-less friend, Krillin, is luckily alive and reveals that a being named Pilaf raided the village in search for a powerful ornament. having just told Goku what would happen if all the balls were collected into one, Bulma decides to look for the other Dragon Balls before Pilaf can get to them. so Krillin decides to join the 2 as they set off to find the rest of the Dragon Balls.

Other thoughts and ideas: one of the biggest things the movie would push, is the responsibility for preserving and respecting nature. i was arguing that Goku not being a nature boy is a hugely missed opportunity because we could really use a hero that studies and preaches the importance of nature. we would see Goku genuinely enjoy being outdoors and sometimes meditating in front of beautiful, natural scenery. Goku would very much be the Goku we all know and love. the hungry, fun-loving fish out of water who will do anything to protect his family and friends.

the villain would be Lord Piccolo (no Piccolo Jr, but Lord Piccolo would have Jr's abilities and personality) who would hire Pilaf to collect the balls so that he can use them to wish for universal domination. Pilaf would be frightened in Piccolo's presence, but would be conjuring ways of betraying him in private (similar to Starscream). Goku would have his power poll up until he completes Roshi's training when Roshi tells him that he no longers needs the power poll with his skill level. Goku then gives the power poll to Roshi as a gift and Roshi uses it like a walking cane to fake being weak (Yoda). Krillin and Goku would have their tussles during Roshi's training. Roshi would still be a perv, but most of his antics would be shown in subtle ways (in the background, out of focus, etc). Yamcha would be a desert bandit who is more interested in Bulma than the Dragon Ball, but is too shy to confront her...so he would enter the tournament in an attempt to impress Bulma. the tournament would only allow one person from each 'school' or 'group' to participate so Krillin and Goku would have to battle each other to see who enters (Goku winning of course). Master Roshi would still enter as Jackie Chun, but would be revealed as Roshi when Lord Piccolo recognizes that Jackie Chun is fighting in a style that hasn't been used since Roshi fought Piccolo. at the end of Goku and Piccolo's fight, we get to see a glimpse of Goku in super Saiyan mode the split second before he defeats Piccolo. the Namek then reveals that Goku is most likely a descendant of the alien race of Saiyans and is flown away by his minions. by the end of the film, Goku and co will have collected the 7 Dragon Balls and will have wished for all of Piccolo's destruction to be reversed.

the credits will end with one of the tournaments' fighters by the name of Nappa talking to a computer screen and saying that he has found 'the tainted one'.

edit: also...the music would be done by Ko Otani, who did the music for the game 'Shadow of the Colossus'. the music in there is so beautiful and epic that i can see it fitting perfectly in a live action Dragon Ball movie. here are 3 tracks from the game. the last one is the best imo...

Dorky of all people I'm surprised YOU included Super Saiyan against Piccolo. :oldrazz: The Nappa thing is pretty kick-ass, though. :woot:

no worse than putting Goku in high school. besides, it wouldn't be any longer than 5 minutes. :cwink:

thanks, dude. what did you think of the rest?

Yes, but there's a huge difference with the high school thing. Super Saiyan should be saved for Freeza or at least Vegeta. Though I wouldn't mind is hair rising and eyes glowing like in Movie 4.

Oh what? I didn't read anything else..:hehe: No I did it was great you should make a script like The Kid did. :yay::woot: By the way, where the hell IS The Kid?

i like it Dorky...very cool
thanx dood!

Yes, but there's a huge difference with the high school thing.
imo, putting Goku in high school is more detrimental to the character than having him go Super Saiyan sooner than he did in the anime. i can pretty much guarantee that they'll be making him go SS in the movie sooner than he did in the anime.

well, that's why i made it so that we only see a GLIMPSE (not even 10 seconds) of Goku in SS mode. if i had my way, we wouldn't see Goku really use his SS powers until the climax of part 2.

thanx dude. i'd like to, but i'm not much of a script guy.

By the way, where the hell IS The Kid?
beats me. your guess is as good as mine.

Well like I said, I wouldn't mind a gold aura with hair growing up longer and eye pupils disappearing. :yay:

written by the guy who wrote finding nemo
wow great action there

if that was a sarcastic comment, then i'd suggest looking at who i thought would have made a good director..because that guy is also a writer. i would've have gotten the writer for Finding Nemo essentially for the adventure and heartfelt moments.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh....That would be good for heartfelt moments, but also ya need one who knows Dragonball to give it a good treatment.

Very cool man, I'll try to give that a read tomorrow night. Thanks for sharing it :)
